I think the Staff page needs some long overdue updating, Pat. Nathan's now full time at RPS, and Dave and Sam are nowhere to be seen on the page.
Anyway, I also found this under the Audio tab: http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/02/newscast-3-the-week-games-journalism-looked-in-the-mirror/ Still a great listen, and deserving of way more than 249 plays.
Listening to that got me thinking: why aren't Newscasts more of a regular feature on the site? I feel part of the reason why they didn't get much traffic is that they were released far too randomly (Oct 12, Oct 16, Nov 2). It might help to put them out on a fixed schedule, be that at the end of each week or even once a month. Make them something people not only look forward to, but know when to look forward to. Of course you'll have to make sure they're on the main story panel; don't just post them on the fast moving story feed where they can easily get neglected.
As for format, it seemed to work just fine as it was, but I guess you could try out different things and see what the community enjoys most. Maybe that's a staff roundtable discussion about a particular topic, or something with a special guest like Rob or even a dev. Maybe it could incorporate video and Pat can place differently themed cardboard boxes in the background like the good old times - or to pick on something Dave mentioned in the last Newscast, maybe it could be sponsored by a biscuit company and you can all munch away with your mugs of tea. On second thought, it might be tough to get the same brand of biscuits in different countries... maybe it could just be sponsored by the Association of International Biscuit Manufacturers. I'm just throwing these things out there.
To be honest, I'm not much of a podcast listener, but after chancing on that Newscast I linked above, I thought you know, maybe this is something that could grow into a great feature. Something the community would appreciate. Give your oft-seen names a voice, and all that. Of course, it could all just fail and be another grand waste of time :).
Edit: Added a smiley to negate the huge dollop of realist pessimism at the end there. :P
