So fucking chuffed this game is being made, TDU1 was one of the first games I got for my 360 with Gears of War 1 and I loved it.
Seriously, I cant wait for this! :D
I hope there will be a PS3 version, because the first part was one of the games that made the decision between both console hard.

OK, so just from looking at those screens, it seems like new features are:
Times of day - there seemed to be an option for selecting then from the map
Car customisation - saw what looked like some options, as well as a test track/area
Petrol tank - yep, there's actually a petrol gauge on the HUD. Wonder how this will effect the longer races.
I can't tell if it's the same Island on the map, but it does look similar... It would be nice to go to a different Island, but I won't complain if it's the same one.
Oh and a driving school as well!

Like Syrok, I really hope there's a PS3 version. This was my favourite game on the 360 by a long shot but I don't want to have to buy one of those noisy fucks to play the sequel :-(

"Permis off-road"? Rallying in TDU2? ... please be true. or is it just a translation error on my part?
Yeah, I read about this before. But apparently there are going to be off-road vehicles too, such as Range Rovers, Land Rovers, Q7's and other 4x4's. (Maybe not these exact cars, but those sort, anyway.)
Would be brilliant if they could get some rally cars in there too though...
Well it says "I love mud" beneath Permis off-road. And permis off-road, would be the off-road driving license.
Strange how there's actually a bar in the driving school though!

I liked the idea of the first one - the demo was fairly nice too - but I didn't buy it on principle. Maybe if they don't shaft Europe this time I might get it.

Haven't got it yet. I'm in Saudi at the moment, and I haven't seen it for sale yet.
I've been checking the reviews, and it seems that it's mostly getting marked down due to bugs and the car handling, which is pretty much what you were saying the other day, iirc.
I might do a quick micro review if I manage to get hold of a copy soon...
Ah right. :( I had kind of hoped it was just me. Like I say, there is hope, my mate Rob seems to love the game. It does seem to be even more of a Marmite title this time around. It certainly triggered quite a strong reaction in me, I have to say.
Man, love the game but it is broken beyond belief!, I have played it for about 15 hours, finished the main events in Ibiza, inc a 74mile round the island time trial.
Then fire it up last night and my savegame has corrupted!, no idea why/how!, but livid doesn't even describe my feelings last night.
I would avoid it until the patch is released.

Apparently, Eden are advising people to make back ups until they come out with a patch.

I've been reading a few games writers diaries on TDU2 and it sounds like the most cataclysmic launch for a game since Elemental. You base a game on its online features, and then none of those features work, including the matchmaking?
That's a catastrophic fail. They should be offering refunds and every other concievable form of atonement right now.
