I don't know the tech specs like guys like Erth do. But I can tell you that my common sense is tingling. By that I mean, neither MS nor Sony can release a system so powerful that is blows us all away. Because said simply we won't be able to afford it. Going forward the console biz has to be like Nintendos console biz...that is to sau it can no longer be a loss leader where they make back their investments with years of licensing. They have to be able to sell their system at or very near a profit. Like Nintendo does.
That will limit what they can stuff in the box. I expect a Halo 2 to Halo 3 style graphical jump. Anything more will shock me. I don't think there will be much difference between our current games and the first run of launch games on the new systems, graphicly. Ofc that will improve as devs get more experience with the hardware.
I just can't chase every rumor that someone lets fly in the wind. We should know much more at E3.
But if ya enjoy it, carry on man! ;)

And that is how it works, someone starts it, then other grab it and run with it, then everyone starts believing it. Who knows. Maybe it is true lol.

Looks like the same OG yeah.
Starting to sound pretty much it now.
I found the jump to 360 amazing after the original Xbox. For the price, seeing Gears of War in HD for the first time, I was blown away.
Especially as PC gaming was a bit annoying to get into back then, no steam etc...
I guess now were all used to HD content, I would be a bit gutted they have let this cycle go on for so long and not created a crazy powerful machine.
Bare in mind it's going to be a good few years till streaming properly works for everyone.
Maybe Nintendo played it right after all?
I feel this will be the last set of consoles as we know them (physical media etc...), was just hoping they would go out guns blazing! :)

I also wouldn't be shocked if these stats weren't true...just at what point in time? They could have been beefed up by now.
By the time I got my xb360, I was playing a handful of xbox one games in HD. If you went from SW BFII/Halo2 in 720P to the average HD XB360/PS3 launch game, it was nice, but didn't have the same impact as if you had come from a PS2 in 480i to a xb360 in HD.
Not to mention I was playing HD PC games before XB360.
Even today I can go to my inlaws and watch games on their high end PCs, they look nice. Very crisp, good details, but it isn't mind blowing. That time when you played your first five mins of Mario64...that was mind blowing. The first time I played Ridge Racer on PSx. The first time I played my first Rayman game(Atari Jaguar for me). And Speaking of the Jag, how about Aliens Vs Preditor? There are more then a few moments in gaming that made me think "Wow".
I have a very hard time believing any of those moments are going to pop up when we transition to the next MS/Sony systems. At least graphicly. I have already seen what levels those games will look like on PC. Again, nice. Just not Daaaaaamn, ya know?
Plus I think it will be like sticking in a new PC Video card on your PC. Going to make it look nicer, but your still going to be playing the same old game.

I hope we see games with better crowd tech and AI for example.
Dead Rising was an example someone used yesterday. That just wasn't possible on PS2 / Xbox 1.
I hope we see advances in those kind of areas, more lively and 'full' worlds.
Also hope to see some quality MMO's on 720, Fable MMO for example. These areas could make a huge inference to how we see online console games.
It will be the start of virtual worlds proper.

i also think the improvements wont be huge, especially not in the first 1,2 years, that's why i think we'll see some wiiu ports too. these specs could be true and i wouldn't mind.
i mean, sure, there will be some wow launch games but i really don't think we'll see true innovations. new ip's better effects, better lighting...
i think online will change though. mmo shooters will become what fps, competitive online shooters became current gen. "the thing"...not that cod's halo's will go away.
bungie will start this mmofps trend on consoles with destiny...i am not really excited about the next gen consoles yet. i am sure this will change though. i am curious what steambox has to offer.
strangeley i really crave for an alternative to ps360.i hope for new game concepts...i don't need ultra realistic graphics. never was a fan of that.

I didn't say anything of the sort I said the specs you posted is crap. Unless you are the one that made the specs I said nothing against you personally just the specs. It was unfeasible and too much of "Put everything cool that you want in a console"
