   With all the heat going on in the DMC article at the moment, I wanted readers to remember a simpler time...

   A time when there was no such terminology as 'Troll' or 'Flamebait'...

   A time when Spoilers were not an issue...

   A time when you would have to wait a whole month just to check out the new gaming news...

   It was a time of INK AND PAPER...

   Of Warriors and the written word...

   It was the time of the GAMES MAGAZINE!!!

   And, hailing from the UK... I was lucky enough to be able to read the greatest Games Magazine ever created every month.

   That Magazine was... (drum roll)

   MEAN MACHINES!!!

   Now, as a treat, I have just stumbled across the old archive (maybe old news to some, but still a great find).

   Man I miss the unofficial PSM magazines here in the states. those were writers,leaders,and scholars you looked up to every month to teach you what the latest and greatest was about to be released on your favorite console. They had reviews that really mattered which I took 100% seriously. If they gave a game a 10 it deserved it trust me.

   The Editor and Chief was Chris something and I remember Randy who I think now works for joystiq but those guys put together one of the best gaming magazines ever. No jealous butt hurt inferior gamers from another console comments to read. It was all PlaySation 100% of the time pure 30-50 pages of awesomeness. I still have all my issues tucked someone persevered so the covers won't get ripped.

   I wanted to say Mean Machines :(

   I remember having a standing order at John Menzies that my Mum would pick up of 2000AD and Mean Machines.

   Some nostalgia is the perfect cure sometimes!

   i used to love the fact you got Demo CD's with some PS1 mags. I played the demo of S=Destruction Derby 2 for an unhealthy amount of time!
