A very wise move. There was a chance it could drown in the deluge of games arriving. Hopefully future games will follow this trend. Definitely increased sales now. They have also categorically mentioned that the games is not in any way scaled back, and early impressions are also good for ign and other sites.

it looks rock solid to me. a real return of sly and the gang. great pricing too. so good. i really hope this will sell well. i love these kind of games. more of that. that's one direction i want sony to go. next should be a medievil game. would be so cool. reviving sir dan.

Yup I read this on PSLS and its smart. I'll be buying this day one to show the industry this is the pricing structure we need. Also you notice companies do this when a new console is about to be released.

Also its sad that this is great news and should have more comments in this thread but the obvious PS3 outsells 360 has more. Stay classy VG360-7 commenters. your SONY hate shows in more ways than one.

Ok so this is post Christmas and not much new coming out, plus they have a sale on some items. Would be really interesting to see what would actually happen if they reduced game prices across the board.

No, good things like this happen when they are getting ready for a new console generation. They always do this the top brass of these chain stores already know and they have to get rid of the stuff to make way for the new.

I know it is 10 dollars, and yes I know PS3 comes with Vita Version for free download, but my Vita has only 3.5 GB left... so physical copy to meeeeeeee
@theevilaires indeed, the PSP and PSP Go were a proof of that was going to happen, at least to the portable market... come to think of it... PS3 Super Slim might be a proof that IS going to happen soon to table consoles... huh
