   @Dragon et all

   Starting a thread that is basically comparing console numbers is of course inviting people to weigh in with their own opinions, you'd be naive to think otherwise.

   Poly is far from a troll, his opinions are well rounded unlike alot of other people on here.

   The 'Nintendo Magic' thing is getting very old now.

   It was never a new term and was never exclusive to Official Nintendo publications.

   IMO it started with the Nintendo Seal of Quality on the NES. Obvioulsy that was marketing but the term Nintendo Magic or Nintendo Difference isn't a new one.

   The fact that Nintendo gameplay is held in high regard by so many developers should prove this to you.

   Nintendo franchises are often copied or paid tribute to by many dev houses should tell you that generally the playability of their in-house titles are something special.

   You think something like Uncharted will go down in history for gameplay?

   Strip away the graphics and you have a pretty bog standerd cover shooter.

   Strip away the graphics on Mario Galaxy and it'd still play like a dream.

   And thats kindof what matters.

   Unless you thought gaming started with the PS1... And if thats the case, there's not much point in disscussing this anymore.

   @monkey/og: i really feel like there is only one chance left now, at least for me: ignoring. i hate that, i don't think ignoring is an actual option, but i tried so many times to explain myself and it always gets in the same direction over and over again. if you only slightly criticise sony or if you just combine two words like magic and nintendo - you'll get a shitstorm here. guaranteed. i think it must stop, but what can you do. i even offered some of the guys to reset things, start all over, forget the past, trying to get along but no reaction. they seem to love that shit, just complaining for the flame. it's such a waste of time to me now, no fun to be found anymore. it's getting old and it stinks, so i will try to ignore. i just can't understand why someone can honestly call people who are multiplat gaming for decades, with an obvious passion for gaming in general, fanboys..i really start to believe it's just professional trolling going on here.

   You never asked me for any "resets" Poly. Besides sure you can not bring something up but never will a person forget. Asking someone to forget is like asking them to repeat the same thing over again. I'm not into insanity Poly.. Are You?

   Also, it's very easy to be a multiplatform gamer/owner and have a favorite. I have plenty of friends who are that way. For example, My female friend has every system ever made but openly says if she had to choose to only buy one console she would buy Nintendo for life. She said she always love Nintendo and she knows she has a since of biasness for the company.

   My male friend is exactly the same and do you know why I respect them so much? Because, they don't bring up BS excuses for their purchases. They just buy in their hobby. They also give good critical opinions of all consoles they owned and we have excellent discussions free of anger,miscommunication, and/or name calling.

   I also don't complain about anything you or anyone else on here does. I do ask questions. I do sometimes counter arguements that are purely opinionated passed off as fact. I don't get "butthurt", I simply observe and reply.

   So, yes it is not hard to see your biased points and even others. Even some people feel I am biased because I don't enjoy select games anymore(keyword anymore because I did once upon a time and then I moved on).

   I think in the case of a few people here they have a problem with how the opinion is put forward rather the opinion itself and that's where aggressive, long winded comments seem to stem from. Being an obnoxious twat or constantly trolling is bound to irk someone at one point or another and when they labeled a fanboy of another platform for responding in a annoyed manner the actual topic or any chance of a decent conversation goes to shit.

   When it comes to topics like this one where one console has or reported to have gotten one over the other there will always be one or two who will show what they are about. E3 especially will be a minefield in the comments sections on this site, chances of trolling and aggressive conversations will be high and it's a shame as I for one never understood the logic of being loyal or zealot like for a company or wanting to troll day in day out about the same subject, it gets boring very quickly.

   This is a great site for news but the community has a child like insensitivity at times which borders on ridiculous

   Classy act really. The only ones like poly with no arguments throw up words like trolling because they just cant argue seriously. Every second thread he feels to tell me that I am a troll/fanboy. Although for me only troll is dm. Of course, MG and OG coming to his defence is no surprise too, but who said poly was a troll? Its like they just came to defend just for the sake of defending. Well done guys. Need a medal?
   And poly, your "well rounded" opinions are only acknowledged by MG and OG, maybe that should be your cue.
   Maybe someone of you can respond to my post to OG where I said I disagreed with him. That was enough for me to be a fanboy (by "poly" standards of course).
   The only thing Poly can do is "WHAAA EVERY HATES NINTY NOOOOOO" and instead of discussing why anyone has an negative opinion of that . Same for Sony, only that now his is "HATE HATE", again without reason and not willing to discuss. Not that it matters though. But maybe he just cant stay away from bashing others.
   Neither lex, I and others use fanboys and trolls on others as often as poly. Of course he is too stubborn to understand that.

   i was waiting for this. i can totally see myself getting this thing. it’s funny that people defend their beloved homeconsoles already. why not wait and see first and be a little more optimistic about it. i read this news as an attempt to open things up for the consumer, making things more flexible yet easy. that’s a good thing isn’t it. i think the steambox could even coexist with the nextbox&ps4′s, stealing a good share though. one competitor at least will have to go the software only path nextnextgen though me thinks. the gaming market, while having a decline atm, still keeps growing and growing, esp. if you look worldwide. i think there is a market for this…dragon i have to reply to you again. you are calling erth a delusional pc overlord? well he has a ps3 and vita while you are the real platform fanboy here. just saying, that’s your problem anyway pointing fingers in every direction but never pointing at yourself."

    @lex: we disagree a lot. i sometimes don't get your conclusions but that's ok. totally legit. yea, let's just move on;) i guess if we'd had a real world discussion we'd find a way to get along just fine even if we'd disagree. the internet can be a multiplicator of misunderstandings.

    @daytripper: i agree with you. i can see my part in all this as well. i am getting triggered too much by some stuff and sometimes i can turn into a dick then as well.

    that said...

    @dragon: here you are again. at your best actually. why don't you just read this thread, read what others wrote and read again what you just wrote too. then think about it. it's that easy.

    i recommend reading the part too where i praised ps+ and said the 3dsxl hardware is shite, if i look into my vg247 activity i can easily find countless comments, where i am very very positive about sony and ms and yeah even negative ones regarding nintendo...just saying. if you'd read posts first and wouldn't instantly quote them before even reading the whole thing, maybe you wouldn't react totally inadequate and out of place so often.

    the last quote you made of my comment regarding the steambox, what's wrong with it?..isn't that an opinion. i even tried not to start some flame by not mentioning which of the big 3 i see in most danger. i am trying to be polite, always do. in that post, am i not just explaining myself, my thoughts about things?

    Keep going with hypocrisy. Just look at that entire debate and you will know who started first. And of course, continue to respond to comments that have nothing to do with you, but "OH MY BELOVED" platform.

    PS3 + PS2 = 6.8

    70.2 end of September (previous 6 months including PS2) + 6.8m = 77m.

    In other words IDC are full of crap.
