   I freaking love the Metroid Prime series on the Gamecube! That first game was simply epic!

   The second was good but not as good as the first. Hunters of the DS was a nice tech demo for Nintendo to show off the new system but nothing really that interesting. 3 on the Wii was fun to play but oh god the voice acting!! And I never played Team Ninja's Other M but I heard it was a nice entry but still not a Prime game.

   I think a Metroid Prime for the 3DS would be awesome. Bring the newer IP's to the Wii U to help attract new people and bring Prime 4 to the 3DS to help boost sales. I think with the 3D "depth" aspect this could be something really awesome. Rather than having everything look like its coming at you. Have the helmet visor HUD in the foreground, make the gun arm look like its going inwards away from the player and then draw the maps/environments as if they are going away from you. This would seriously give a great sense of depth to the game. Then leave all the things flying at the screen to the enemy lasers and bullets :)

   I seriously want this game!!!

   Retro have obviously been working on something but a lot of people are saying its either new IP or Prime 4 for the Wii U using Unreal Engine 3!??? FUCK THAT BRING IT TO THE 3DS and make some new IP for the Wii U that is what that console needs. The 3DS needs this, and it needs it NOW!!!

   Who agrees?? And do you have any ideas or different views on how this game should be made and on what platform? Also if Retro are making a new IP what could it be... Maybe they are bring back Dragon Blade....?

   You're not wrong, the Metroid Prime games are amazing, and the technology of the 3DS does present some very interesting possibilities for the different visors, etc. (not to mention the maps, which are ideal for 3D) but, if there is to be another Prime game, they couldn't pass up the opportunity to develop it for the Wii U, it's just too good for a portable system.

   Just look at how hard Retro pushed the Gamecube with Metroid Prime, and the Wii with Corruption, then imagine what they could do with the Wii U, in HD. The world needs to see that. If past Prime games are anything to go by, Retro seems all about tapping the full potential of the system they're developing for, and they will likely continue that trend next gen.

   Don't get me wrong, a Metroid 3DS game could be fantastic, it just may be Metroid by a different name than Prime.

   Absolutely agree, CPC! Metroid was the reason for me to buy a GC by that time. That said, I feel the 3DS lacks outstanding games in general, if one is not after the Mario-Family. Most played game is RE Revelations and Cave Story. The 3D and the undewater-level in RER is absolutely stunning. Can't wait for castlevania and Monster Hunter and I do hope that some new, third-party IPs will make it to the 3DS in 2013.
