I'm wondering if there are players online playing MAG. I just found the game for 5€ used, so I could give it a try. It doesn't need an online pass, does it?

I don't think it does but the last time I played it, which was maybe earlier this year, the wait time seemed to be rather long for a match.
When it was busy, I thought it was a really good game. Hopefully you will be able to get some games! ;)

Nope it doesn't need an online pass and there are still quite a few people playing MAG. Hell i would love to jump in myself bu I just don't have the time these days. Anyway give it a try man its a decent FPS to me I would recommend it and i think SONY should give it out on PS+ so the community for that game would grow. I'm on SVR team baby woot woot rebels for life!

Guys, if you can boot the game to see if anyone is still online I would really appreciate it. Try around 17:00-20:00(UK time), on weekends too maybe. Thanks

Mag is a great game, but yes the last few times I have checked the wait times were horrible. OM Shooters aren't really about sticking with just one game, it is about playing one and moving on to a newer one. Investing in epic ones like Mag and Warhawk and Starhawk have limited returns. Better off investing in ones like CoD and Halo(from a dev/pub stand point) where you can freshen up the game for your fans(and sell them new copies) every couple of years. Regaurdless of how good the game, a lot of players will just grow tired of the same old maps, weapons, and other such stuff after a while.
I agree with Tea too, if Sony gave the game away as a PSN+ game, Mag might make a come back. Sony might also sell some DLC that way too.

Yea the only annoyance is so weird ass wait time they make you endure to join a server for some reason. i think they try to lock in as many people in the beginning of a match and don't want people jumping in or out to sabotage a certain team. Its frustrating if you ask me to wait 30 minutes sometimes to join a game. But still get the game man people are still playing it trust me. it has a dedicated fan base that will own you as soon as you start playing but hopefully you can overcome that challenge.
