I am in urgent need for cash. Can anyone suggest me a good pawn shop in Austin TX. I have heard about Cash Pawn. How is it? Thanks
Which is better: pawning or selling?

You will never get as much money selling to someone who intends to resell it for profit as you would selling it directly to someone who actually wants it.

Freedoms +1, and i like to add that you only pawn if you really know in a short period of time you will be receiving an income of some sort, and for that you will pay, otherwise you lose the merchandise, only pawn when you are pretty sure you can pay in the short term, i mean that you are certain you will receive some money.

Honestly I think things are a bit harder in the US. When you're fucked, you're truly fucked. That's why pawn shops are everywhere here, it's not because it's a good deal, but because people need money that badly.
I guess it depends on how dear the stuff you're selling is. I've known a few people who have pawned stuff and then spent weeks sleepless thinking about it, even though they were never going to raise the money to get it back.
Sometimes it might be worth the grief to just sell it and make a clean break.
