I can't understand the desire to do this sort of thing, so I was theorising that this is something that young gay people do.
I'm an artist, and I've been drawing/painting/modelling frequently almost since I could hold a pen, but I think that I can honestly say that, in my entire life, I've never drawn, or even felt the desire to draw, a penis.
Nowadays, I usually only draw when I get paid to draw/design, but when I was younger, I might have drawn cars, guns, planes, Transformers, etc. Maybe even triple changing Transformers changing from planes into cars with guns on. I might have drawn fighting robot characters for some story, or drawn up designs for my ideal computer game.
A penis? No.
Can anyone shed any light on the desire to draw penises?
I'm getting sick of looking at them in CoD.

At least mine has a logical basis. People draw what they like and admire. I think that's a fact that you can find countless examples of throughout human history.

Well GIGA, the penis is traditionally seen as a symbol of strength & virility in many cultures. The bigger the penis the stronger the man.
Having a big wang as a picture is a way of saying "look at me! Big man!".
Also though it's a way of saying your edgy & crude "yeah look at this schlong!"
Obviously these are just simple explanations. I've got a penis soldier, holding a gun as my player card on Blops 2... So I'm going for the humour value :-D

Penis gets a huge "eek" from most people. Swastika, boobs and swear words don't. Either one of those things is offensive to a different group. Some are bothered with "fuck" and some aren't. Same goes for penis BUT here's the thing: Drawing penis has become a HUGE troll weapon and not just on the net. I guess seeing it in public offends more people than swearing and other things.
Also, drawing it has NOTHING to do with homosexuality. It is almost always drawn by horny straight males! Mostly teens but not always.

As stated above, the penis is inherently funny, but I get that some folks like yourself, are slightly more prudish about genitalia :-P

Ok, well, I'm willing to accept that it's not based on sexual desire, if it's being put down to a 'sense of humour', which probably makes it slightly (but not completely) easier to understand.
Humour can be as much of an individual thing as taste in food, so maybe trying to apply logic to it isn't practical.

And no, monkey, I never drew one in my life. Sure, I saw them, but I was probably too busy playing with the Micro Machines in my pencil case, or firing paper bullets at people off of elastic bands to think about doing stuff like that, myself.
Anyway, I'm not particularly squeemish, it's just the psychology of it that made zero sense to me.
