1. Journey
The experience I had with Journey was nothing short of tremendous. On a game level I found it to be perfect. No bugs, scripting errors, graphical glitches, precise controls, splendid animation..even the online component is seamless and did nothing to hinder the experience. The night it came out I sat down for 2 and a half hours and was completely immersed. My emotions ran high. I shit myself the first time I discovered a sentinel. Having experienced that and most of the game with my online companion, I almost broke down in panic when they were blown away due to a poorly timed run, only to discover they were ok and relief settled back in. The game is a master piece in my eyes. Visually, mechanically, and musically its of the best games I've ever played. Tied with Shadow of the Colossus for me.

My picks:
1. The Unfinished Swan - Yes Journey would probably be in this place had I played it but for some reason (I have yet to work out myself) I have not. Regardless I loved the unfinished swan and personally found it incredibly original, refreshing and in my opinion a good length.
2. SSX - Yes this is not on many peoples lists I am sure but I greatly enjoyed the new reboot to the franchise (one of my favorites back on PS2), this new game was simply a blast to play and I loved the asynchronous multi-player as well as the outstanding post release dev support (akin to Burnout Paradise). I am greatly hoping for a sequel :)
3. Far Cry 3 - Well this speaks for itself and as i can see many have this on their lists, I was one who greatly enjoyed FC2 and as a result found FC3 sublime, not in my opinion quite as fun as the other two games above but all three were VERY close to each other!
Overall its been a great year for games and I eagerly await The Last of US, GTA V, Metro Last Light and Sly Cooper Thieves in time next year!

The most serene and utterly beautiful game I've ever played.2. Dishonored
Very very few games make me want to jump straight back in after completing them. This was one of them. A superb demonstration of how to marry solid, fun gameplay mechanics with art and story. This year's Bioshock.3. Hotline Miami
I played more indie games in this one year than I think I've ever played before. Most were great in their own right, but this one tops the lot for me. A brilliant soundtrack complements what can only be described as dangerously addicting gameplay.Posted 4 months ago # -

Yeah guys don't post here please. We're working in something to go along with the results. It means it's taking us a while to get ready for the results, but it'll be worth it I promise :)
