   Was just reminiscing about some of the great games I enjoyied when I was younger:

   Zelda : A Link to the Past
   Mario 3
   Gunstar Heroes

   And it got me thinking about some of the absolute stinkers I purchased too. Running home with a NES or Master System game i'd spent an ice age to save up for only to find it being an absolute pile of shit...

   Here are 3 that were my worst offenders:

   1. Ren & Stimpy Veediots (SNES):

   I loved the TV show so much I paid £50.00 for this piece of shit on my SNES (US import). Oh the crushing disappointment when I got it home, what was I thinking?!

   2. WWF Wrestlemania (NES):

   I loved the WWF in the late 80's early 90's. Yes, I did consider Wrassling as a full time career move! ;) So, while I was waiting to start my Wrassling journey, I paid £49.99 for WWF Wrestlemania on the NES....

   Oh the humanity... Words do not describe how bad it was, yet my child like imagination still enabled me to play it even though I knew it was as awful as Macho Mans outfits.

   3. TMNT (Atari ST)

   I reallllly wanted a NES in 1989. I was lucky enough to have an Atari ST but the NES pad was so cool to me back then compared to a joystick. It had 2 buttons! 2!!!!! Turtles was the game to get, so in the absence of my NES, I got it for the Atari ST instead.

   Big mistake, the graphics and sound may look better but the playability (which wasen;t even that great on the NES), stank like Splinters bed. Again, I tried to enjoy it, but everytime I saw this advert on TV:

   Not owning a sega saturn and the original playstation, those were the only consoles i didnt own, for saturn because it never arrived on the country so i wasnt able to play any game of its catalog, and the first playstation because at that time i didnt had the money, only to buy one console, and i did got the n64, although i did play a lot of games on my friends playstation, but i didnt own it.

   As for games ET on the atari and shaq fu on the jaguar, those are the worst games a did ever got, well my fathers got, to be more precise.

   It very much surprises me that I cannot think of even one gaming disappointment from my youth.

   I think I enjoyed even the bad games back then, or maybe nostalgia has completely taken over for me.

   Captive 2 on the Amiga. Captive 1 was one of my all time favourite games. Captive 2 was just a mess.

   absolutezero beat me to it.

   I hassled my parents for ages to spend £50 on Rise of the Robots, and I played it for about 20 mins. To this day I remember my mum saying "that was quick, why have you stopped playing?".

   I felt so guilty. Man that game was balls. In Vs mode, one of you HAD to be the silver surfer dude, while the other player got to be ANY of the robots.

   Nothing about that game made sense, except for the graphics.

    Awesome! I used to love System 3 games especially this one! :)

    Now I'm going to have to go back to my parents, dig out all my C64 and Amstrad games, Bet their not worth that much now though!

    I, too, can't think of any game that was really disappointing as a kid. I think I could play just about anything back then, and if it was bad, it only made it funny. Surely a few rentals were shit, but no purchases that I can recall.
