Lots of talk regarding how shit the Wii U CPU is,
Here's another article. Prob biased but still interesting!
Anyone more tech savvy, please tell me why this is bullshit or not?! ;)

A lot of the things said there are true, like gpu used to relieve cpu of intensive tasks like physics, but I think that's over-exaggerated. Pc has this kind of gpu for years now, and devs know a lot about it. Also from what I have seen, cpu is bottle necking many aspects of game like shadows, enemy AI, no. of enemies etc. and these things are completely cpu based. Consoles at launch are expected to at least outperform pcs that cost less than them, for many reasons and both ps3 and 360 did that, but now youcan build a pc rig that's way cheaper than wiiu and get upto 4x performance (see DFPC). Also DF remains the best site for hardware comparisons of consoles imo. The site you mentioned is obviously a heavily ninty biased site.
One more thing, reports suggest wiiu edram is much slower than what is in 360.
RE: DFPC
Wasn't that £300 without any input method or OS? How is that "much cheaper" than a £250 device which has a screened controller and an OS?
RE: The OP
That article is a little technical knowledge interpreted by someone who doesn't really understand all of it. Best ignored completely.
Alot of the current ports of games are fairly quick and dirty, and often by developers who didn't do the original work. So to be comparable to the 360 versions and better in cases than the PS3 shows with a bit more time you would expect it to start surpassing them. Give it a year or so and then make a more valid comparison.
All of which is fairly beside the point as PS4/720 you expect to step it up further. The point being you get the WiiU for the overall experience it offers not just a performance bump over current gen. That overall experience includes Nintendo exclusives and gameplay offered by the controller. In that respect the relative performance of the machine is moot.
@The good doctor
Yeah, cheers for confirming that.
As with the Wii, i'll mainly be getting the Wii U for the exclusives, same as the PS3 really.
The 360 (and 720 or whatever), will always be my main choice because of the Live service and my friends list.
The Wii had a great number of exclusives, easily enough to warrent a purchase IMO, the Wii U looks to be even better and it's only just got started.
Wii had:
Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart
Zelda Skyward Sword
Zack and Wiki
Kirby
DKC
Smash Brothers
Truama Center
New SMB
Xenoblade
Sin and Punishment 2
No more Heros 2
Madworld
Little King Story
And a few more I cant think of...
Wii U already has:
Zombie U
Pikmin 3
P-100
Lego Undercover
Rayman
New SMB U
And thats with-in the first couple of month's. When Zelda, Mario et all start hitting it's going to be a great little machine to go alongside the 360/720.
Soooooo much hate towards the machine it's untrue.
I actually got to play with one today - Games in the UK have them as demo units. WTF were Nintendo thinking? Demo menu of 8 or so games and of those just Rayman is playable. The rest were just video. When the whole point of it is the controller and how people need to use it to understand it these units are just terrible. Rayman doesn't really use the screen in the demo and isn't even out until 2013. Sort it out Nintendo.
Other than that the controller was pleasantly nice to hold and the screen a good resolution for the size. Bit unresponsive to swipes initially but that was more me used to capacitive screens I think.
