It's just a relationship that keeps falling apart.
I do love the core game itself. There are a lot of bits and bobs I'd change, like there would be with everything else, but mostly I just don't get why they refuse to make it convenient.
Why am I spending valuable time ingame having to sort out my gear and camo? Is it really that hard to make a premade loadout and letting me select it once I'm ingame?
Why does it take aaaaaages to unlock weapons? Didn't you hear? Gratification is hip. Watching a graph move an inch or two after a 30 minute match isn't. It makes it feel like I'm playing a lot, and getting nowhere at all.
I probably already made those points some time here on VG247, but I just think it's a huge shame. It's like this fun, advanced game that gets held back by somehow taking the worst aspects of the previous games, instead of borrowing the things that actually worked for those previous games, and works for the competition.
I can't fall in love with BF3 when it keeps annoying me on points like that, much as I'd like to.
