   And well... I think I may have done something a bit daft.

   First thing I did when I receieved the White 3DS XL today was do the system transfer so all my purchases and games from my old 3DS were now on the new XL device... And once it finished I went to go check out Mario Kart 7 of which I am unable to locate.

   I went and checked the manual, nothing is mentioned where it is located on the device, so checked the box and in the list of contents it mentions that "4GB SDHC memory card (Pre-Installed: Mario Kart 7)... it seems my hastiness in transferring my stuff has formatted the new XL card and of it's contents!

   Did it prompt that it would format? honestly I cannot remember, if it did I feel really daft for not taking my time and checking where the game was pre-loaded first. I have contacted Nintendo Customer Services, but I am not sure what they can do for me, especially if I am at fault and the device did prompt me it would be deleted.

   Are there any other VG247 members who are about to/already have upgraded their 3DSs? Have you successfully transferred your data and still have the pre-loaded game?

   TL;DR? If you plan to upgrade you 3DS to either the Mario Kart or Super Mario Pre-Loaded White 3DS XL make a backup of your Memory Card(s). :S

   I just got the 3DS XL never had one before. Mario Kart did work well but now I cannot access it on my system. Its not there even though the data is on the memory when I connect it to my PC. I have no idea what to do now... I will call customer service tomorrow and see what they say.

   Anything that is pre-loaded on your system, including games, can be re-downloaded from the eshop. You won't have any of your saves, but you will still be able to play the game without having to go out and buy it.

   Yeah from the e-Shop homepage go all the way left to options and inside theres a list of everything you've bought ready to re-download.

   Including anything pre-loaded on the console. I did the samething last week only my System Transfer borked and I had to re-download all my eShop games. Nothing else was really affected as far as I can tell.

   I fucking adore my 3DS XL. SM3DL is quite literally the best Mario game I've ever played.

   I think I've played my 3DS more over the past week than I have the past year. Waiting on my XL Circle Pad Pro from Japan (at least thats import friendly) and I've actually started Kid Icarus.

   I also found some bizarre Black Jack dating sim visual novel on the eshop which I have become slightly addicted to.

   As far as I'm aware its only been released in Japan. I would imagine its going to make its way aboard sooner rather than later because one of the weapons in Monster Hunter 3 requires it.
