   Having just finished about 4 Co-op story missions plus quite a few multiplayer matches, I would like to say how incredibly impressed I am with the Halo 4 package 343 have put together.

   The graphics and audio so far, have been the finest i've seen in a console game (My previous benchmark being Uncharted 2/3 and Witcher 2 360).

   It really is incredible what they have managed to achieve with the aching old 360 hardware.

   Weapons sound and feel fantastic, the soundtrack is awesome but the eye candy really takes it to another level!

   Every scene looks amazing. Considering you then take part in a sandbox style war with 4 player co-op without it dropping a beat, it really is a sight to behold.

   On top of that you have amazing multiplayer, Sparton Ops, Forge etc...

   Must be GOTY! Try to find a better console game package! :)

   Anyway, loving the game and can't wait to see what 343 can do on 720!

   *Sorry it wasn't quite what you hoped for Poly! ;) Im quite enjoyng the darker tone! :)

   hehe...loving that you are posting a more positive thread here. i am just a grumpy idiot sometimes. you are probably right though. it definiteley is an outstanding game, no question. game grows on me too now actually but it really wasn´t love at first sight and right now i wouldn´t sign anything saying it is the best halo game yet.
   i must mention: i bought a german standard copy since my limited preorder still hasn´t arrived!!! dec 14th is estimated shipping date now. december....14th! i preordered in summer! ok, but i was almost getting over that. let´s just forget that for a while. thing is i HATE the german synchro. it´s terrible. trust me. at least mp had the original synchro in all previous halos. not in this one. believe me it is t e r r i b l e. getting an overshield is: super schild, stuff like that. the chief doesn´t sound like the chief....cortana is annoying if anything. i think this is also making it kind of strange for me. doesn´t sound halo to me, not at all. steals a lot of the atmosphere. i just decided not to keep playing the campaign or coop until i get my hands on a uk version. only played 1,5 hours of the campaign this far...what i have played from it was great. the light effects are really stylish and great.

   The Cut scenes look brilliant! Music and sound effects are also brilliant, art style is pretty meh, standard sci-fi stuff and there are some points with terrible frame-rate.

   Arguably this is the first time MS have put a *lot* of money and resource behind a graphics/game engine on the 360. Sure they've funded games before but an engine that pulls out all the stops?

   Ouch! The German syncro does sound bad!

   One thing this game (and games like Last of Us) shows, is how much you can squeeze out of 10 year old tech given the right devs and cash injection.

   It really is incredible seeing this compared to Halo 3 for example.

   Also, as much as it's blasphemy, this is the first time i've played Halo with the COD control set up (It's called FISH STICKS in options screen.)

   For me it's actually elevated the gameplay for me, I much prefer aiming down the sights with left trigger and using the right stick press to melee.

   Not for Halo purists maybe, but this control scheme alongside the new visceral weapons adds a new 'weight' and ferocity to the combat which feels fantastic.

   Easily my fav shooter this gen for me. The new enemy types have a distinct 'Metroid' feeling too them and break up your tactics nicely.

   Makes me happy with the Wii U too... Games on that should look great if this is what they can achieve on the 360, then in a year or so, the 720 will hopefully blow my socks off! :)

   lol! :) It is fantastic!

   For some reason, I keep getting a Metroid vibe from it... I think it's the new settings, although maybe thats just my NDF side talking! ;)

    @monkey: i tried to find a control set up with sprint on lb. got so used to it because of reach. isn´t available in halo 4. using a cod set up is indeed blasphemy if you ask me...but thx for the hint. will definitley check that out myself! right now. what works works...

    regicide is da shit. reallly codish but it works. tons of fun!
    i am going for all the speed/ mobility perks, just like i do in cod...
    i regret many things that i´ve said about the mp of halo 4. it works and it´s great, it´s just pretty different from reach, yet still halo, it´s not a bad thing. it´s a +***
