I currently own a PS3 at home but am interested in purchasing another to use while i'm away at university. is it worth purchasing the new super slim ps3 now? Note: I already own a ton of games and would be interested in purchasing titles such as most wanted and BO2 as otherwise i wouldnt be able to play them. Thank you.
Worth buying a ps3 now?

Why can't you just take your PS3 with you to University?
@Dragon246
I doubt Argos employ spammers. They are a high street chain in the UK, so probably a genuine post.Posted 6 months ago # -
Sorry. My PS3 at home is used by the rest of my family. It's a shared console, so it would be unfair for me to take it to my university residence. The only reason I include the argos link is because it seems like a genuinly good offer, and one I'm interested in. Thank you.

@FlyingNimbus
Sorry dude. Didn't check that you were a old member.
I think you should try to get your hands on last remaining slim ps3s as there is an obvious degradation in build quality in super slim version.
I don't know if its available in UK, but Dust 514 pack available in us looks better as I think you probably own UC3.
Also in the site you mentioned, there is a deal of ps3 plus NFS on half price. Maybe this deal would suit you better.
Sorry again :)Posted 6 months ago # -
I'd say so.
Even if you've managed to play every good game released for the system up to this point (quite a feat) just take a look at this future lineup & decide for yourself: http://www.ign.com/games/upcoming/ps3

For the longest time I was a Ninty only gamer, and I was satisfied with that, but as a gamer with no interest in shooting, racing or sports sims, I can honestly say that if you don't have a 360, you need to have a PS3.
There's an embarrassment of good games on there. Plenty of exclusives too. Even just this year and next, there're tonnes of games. I feel a list comin' on...

I agree with Dragon, and pick the last remaining old slim models while you can, not only they are better built in quality, i think the disc tray of the newer super slim model is more propense to defect due the sliding effect, is just my thinking talking here, i have not proof, though electronics that implemente sliding disc trays, more often than not suffer from this, but maybe is my bias talking here, iam not a fan of sliding disc trays.
