I'm a bit confused about DOTA 2. Isn't supposed to be Free2Play? I have DOTA 2 and DOTA 2 Test in my library, I played a bit back in September (if I recall correctly). I also got the DOTA 2 gift from valve.

It will be F2P once released. Currently it is through invite only.
You have two clients, one is the regular game (DOTA 2) the other is the test client, where Valve release new patches to test out before actually making them official.
