I dont know if iam alone with this thinking, or if it is to silly, but here there goes nontheless, how difficult would be to do an award thread for the commenters of the year from the VG247 commenter community, i mean that VG247 staff stablish an pick some awards like best comment of the year, funniest comment, trolliest comment, ban of the year, commenter of the year, etc any category vg247 staff consider worth naming and awarding, i knowe the staff is too busy as it is with the constant updating news, but i wonder if this is feasible and if you consider this worth it or not.

It was actually done in 09 and 10 at the end of the year. Dunno why it didn't continue

Oh i dint knew, because i did started comming here in 2011, thanks for the info, well i didnt see it on 2011, hence my comment, either way maybe this will act as a reminder for this year, so they can implemented it again.

It got killed because it had negative awards bundled in with the good stuff. It was also a glorified popularity contest and slightly depressing.
Im totally not bitter at all. Shut up.

mmhmmm I think it never really sat very well with Pat from the start as he saw the negative awards as being a name and shame point and laugh kind of thing.
There were awards like "Biggest platform fanboy" and "Worst troll" if memory serves. To be honest the worst offenders have all left (more or less).

^Well then use the possitive ones like funniest comment, funniest commenter, comment of the year, commenter of the year, best argument, ect, just focusing on the positive things.
