KZ2 patch does indeed change the controls. Seems to me they reduced the deadzone and tinkered with the acceleration too. Still has a weighty feel to it but it's easier to circle strafe and track a moving target now. So they haven't turned the controls into CoD (which is a good thing), but there are improvements which makes them more what they were aiming for.
