    Not sure if this is well known or news worthy but..

    If you sign up for Gearbox's Shift account it'll grant you a Golden Key for the special loot box in Borderlands 2. This can be done from the Main Menu-Extras-Shift Code. It'll prompt you to sign up then verify the account online.
