^Is that the bit where you fall down a tunnel with broken shit and debris all over the place? Yeah that was a frustrating piece of shit section of the game. If I recall right there are also bits that it looks like you can get through but you can't which is also shitty.
Fucking shit things you hate in fucking great games you love!

In general:
TIMED MISSIONS!!! (ruined Dead Rising for me).
Poor server support.
QTEs.
Bugs/glitches (unless humorous).
Cheaters (except fun ones like jet pack in GTA: SA, you know, when cheats were about making a game fun).
The overuse of caves, tombs, etc in games like TES.
Those were just the things that really annoy me to an extreme, to name all the little things that bugged me in specific games would take too long.Posted 7 months ago # -
@f_s: Yeah, that's the one. It just doesn't even feel challenging, because if you hit one thing, you have to hit the next three or four things too, because the animation gets in the way of seeing what's coming next, and it takes time, so you get raped every time you make one slip. It's like getting un-interruptably combo-ed, no fun, just attrition.
I'll beat it though, and then I'll move on... just wish they'd play-tested it more...

the hardships of being a trophy-whore eh? ;)

I was hoping someone would suggest that. I'm playing on Hard, so I can't take more than 5 or 6 hits, but if I were playing on Easy, and I could just crash through to Hades on my head without bothering to avoid much of anything, wouldn't that be even worse? What would be the point of it at all?
And YES! It IS hard being a filthy trophy whore! ;D

Agreed on the Easy-mode comment. For sure.
I played Rayman Origins to plat (one of the few games I have) and some of the time trials on that game were excruciatingly difficult. I feel your pain, I just feel that if it's not fun, what's the point?
(I get the point)
Good job all these trophies never need polishing eh.

We agree on that point. I posted it here on VG24/7 before, but some game dev said that it was important not to lead gamers into non-interesting/no-fun gameplay with trophies. And if I really think it's impossible, I won't go for it.
Take the Challenge modes in Batman and Vanquish, I don't realistically expect to ever get those trophies, but every once in a while, I do like to chip away at them, see if I can't up my game, because I regard the trophies as a part of the game's cleared-state. I was collecting all the bottles in Zelda, clearing all the levels in SuperMarioWorld and scanning and upgrading everything in Metroid before trophies or cheevos were invented. That's just the way I play.
There's no trophy for collceting all of the runes and bone-charms in Dishonored, but I fucking did it anyway... :)
