Well... i didn't know if open this thread or not, but i did it anyways.

I have read this site for months... but i decided to join the community today. Errr... i've been on videogame forums since 2009 and i kinda like them... also i made my own videogame news forum/blog but is half-dead now, so, i am here, hoping to have a good time with all of you. I don't know anyone here, so it will take time to familiarize with all this stuff.

About myself, I'm 18 years old, I'm from Mexico (sorry about my bad english BTW), I study computer science, I love Nintendo, FPS, Drawing, Geek stuff, etc.

So, uhm... Hi everyone. Pleased to be here.

Welcome man, iam from Venezuela, and dont worry for your English, is pretty good, besides the people here will correct anything that is not good, so chances are you will improve it within time, iam part of the NDF by the way, although i do play on all consoles, i love to play the most games i can on any console or handheld, except PC though.

I would like to ask something to both of you since both of you are from south america. Whats the game cost there and how rates differ according to platform like ninty, sony and ms. Would like to know about them as I too belong to a smaller market compared to us,eu or japan.

Dragon, here in South America will depend on the currency conversion issue, for most countries, and generally or most of the time the exchange rate is really high, due inflation, economical problems, in those countries.

For instance here in Venezuela the vita costs 720$, the ps3 600$, the 3ds 450$, the wii is about 360$, the xbox is 720$, and games 240$ for ps3/360, for 3ds 120$, i dont know if this helps you, the currency rate here is officially 1 dollas = 4,30 Bolivares fuertes, and in the black market is 8,00 bolivares fuertes, most of the companies goes to the black market since the Venezuelan government hold an strong tight on the dollars available to the companies and people, they called control de cambio, but i dont want to get involved in politics ;)

Wow!! You must be spending lots on gaming then! I was asking because here, disparity is only evident on some platforms. Vita sells for 400$, ps3 300$, 360 and 3ds 300$ too.Even wii sells for 300$ But most 360/ps3 games sell for 50$ or less and with rates for ps3 ones generally 45$ now that they would open local disk manufacturing shops here. Vita games sell for 35-45$ at retail but digital rate really shines with us getting most games for 30$ or less. Whereas 3ds and wii games are not available for less than 60$

Yeah man a lot, and keep in mind i do own all consoles since last gen, in home and in hanheld front :S, here is a dam luxury like eaten caviar or something like that :)

LOL :). also worth noting that i do buy a lot of R1 animes from sentai, funimation, nis and the most expensive of all aniplex titles, some anime titles worth the same as a videgame here.

Btw if you are looking for japanese animes that havent been localised , you should go to bakabt.me . They have a good collection and perfectly legal too. Earlier this year when I was doing an anime and manga marathon for 2 months, I downloaded old classics from them in pretty good quality. You can also get new animes that arent licensed in us. Pretty much all unlicensed materials are available there.
Did I mention the hentai stuff? :P
