If OUYA is 100% hackble, then couldnt hackers find a way of chipping the console? If so then whats the point in developers putting games on it if they want to make a profit out of the games but they cant because everyone will be getting them illegally?
OUYA question(4 posts)
I think the point of Ouya or whatever it's called is to release F2P games on it where micro transactions are the key. Otherwise, yeah, with an open and "hackable" system, piracy like that would destroy traditional payment models instantly.
Yeah, the 360 and Wii can be hacked to run pirated games and nobody buys any games on those platforms, and nobody bought games on the last generation consoles either because they could all be hacked or chipped.
@freedoms_stain This would be a valid point if Android wasn't an already huge haven for piracy that almost nobody can find any sort of traction for profitability on.
To answe your question Lul... there isn't a point. This thing is dead before its even begun.
