Anyone else?
I'm on my second 360 after upgrading to an Elite at some point last year, but my old one never actually RROD'd.
I'm beginning to think that I'm in the minority.

Nope, never had it.
Mine went a few weeks ago. It was a launch machine. Microsoft sent out a new one pronto, fair credit to them.
I haven't either. 2 machines here... but I'm expecting it'll happen the day they fall out of warranty.
Twice within 6 months (Premium bought when Crackdown came out). Got it replaced through Game then sold it. Never looked back, except for those days when I fancied panning Retroid's Pinball FX scores again :-)
I've experinced the RRoD twice!
Had to wait 6 weeks for replacements to return on both occasions. (but that was in '06 and '07, it seems to be quicker nowadays).
And my third xbox360 now scratches disks without the console being moved.
Thanks Microsoft! :(
Mine became unstable 8 months after I bought it (caved in for GTA IV - which was not worth it imo). Sent it back, they reckon it wasn't a definitive RRoD case so got it repaired but no extension on warranty.
talk about two fingers up at the consumer.
Imagine putting down £200 on anything else and being expected just to *hope* it doesnt break?
Me neither, but then I don't own an Xbox in the first place.
Original Core machine (bought very near launch) died of a graphics chip failure within first year - replaced by Dixons for a brand new one. That failed > 12 months later of a proper RROD, fixed by MS but passed on to my brother. I got a falcon Elite to replace it which is still going.
Never had it either.
I have one of the Pros with the HDMI port, the newerish models. Never had an RRoD with it, but my friend has gone through two, the poor bastard.
It's definitely strange how some people seem to be going through 5 or 6, whilst some people have never had a single problem.
I am on my 2nd Pro but ironiclly, my first never RRoD'd.
My 1st was bricked thanks to disc errors (and on Halo 3 launch day too as well)
But because I had a friend who was in high places, he was on the phone to MS and managed to replace my 360 within half an hour :D
I just bought my first 360. I hope I will not get a RRoD. I got the second generation, so no luck with Jasper.
I went for a very long time before my 360 keeled over. I had a launch machine, and it was fine for a very long time. Then I got my first (and to date only) RROD in October 2008. I called it in on a Sunday morning, it was collected Monday morning to be whisked off to Germany, and on Friday afternoon it was returned to me. The whole process took less than a week. I was pretty impressed, I'd expected to be without it for more like a month.
I've had an xbox 360 since August 2008 and never had RRoD but know of at least 3 or 4 friends who have each had it at least once. Theirs were all premium consoles. We seem to think that myself and another friend who both have elite's won't get the RRoD, but only time will tell...
Side Note: How can I tell whether it's Jasper/Falcon etc. model?
@Ashers2ashers
Easiest way is to check the power consumption. Falcon was 205W, pre-Falcon was higher and Jasper lower :). Looking at the box you may need to do some sums as it might just list Voltage (V) and Current (A) - so multiply the two together to get Power (W). There are two separate bits listed so you need to multiply then add together. I got a few funny looks from the guy in PCWorld as I did the sums when I got my Elite to make sure it was a Falcon :D.
Mine's 175 watts, and I checked out

So it's a Falcon, and I bought it right at the time when Jasper was coming and before the price cut! :(
I guess the only significant difference for consumers is lower nm meaning lower power consumption meaning less heat and so less chance of heat induced failure/RRoD?
3 dead 360s but only 1 RROD :) A friend of mine is still on his launch machine.
