@absolutezero, you put the wrong link for Octodad 2, but as soon as I find it, it's getting my support ;) And upvoted everything else on this page so far, we got some interesting stuff coming up here.
So is this like Kickstarter, but rather than fueling the games themselves, it just shows them that they're popular enough to be on steam? (the next step after Kickstarter? :p)

I want to echo Sadismek, don't let the comments get to you. Gamers are, if anything, a bunch of dicks sometimes. You only have to look at the comments section of most articles to see that.
You have received as many positive comments, if not more, than negative and take pride in that, and the fact you're doing something most of them never would or know the first thing about.
If all else fails, you know you have your (second) guild and Bros to fall back on! :p

Well if we didn't think sexism existed before, my submission pretty much proves otherwise.. lost count of the number of people who think I am a boy because of my voice, they're all literally oblivious to the fact girls play / make games. It's.. painful to watch.

I wouldn't say it has anything to do with sexism. Anyone will tell you that your voice on that video sounds like it has a hint of a boys voice. It's what happens quite a lot when girls use mediocre microphones/recording programs. Don't take any offensive to it, it's just the way it sounds.
