I will post the following not in order to talk about the game itself, which i think is great in all fronts, but due the fact that this was done by only one man, i think is the same of the dishwasher series, man i cannot believe this gem, came for one man only, really this guy deserves our highest praises, i just dream one day to do a half way good game like he did with this game, i dont remember your name, but man you are great.

Whats quite amazing is the amount of depth there is in the gameplay. The combat system is really flexible and fluid. Must have taken him ages to test as you can get yourself pretty much anywhere on the screen using the vortex attacks.
I'd be impressed if it was a 20 man team, but just one guy? Amazing.

To quote what I said in the GOTY thread:
"Dust: An Elysian Tale is the only game this year that has left me with any sort of lasting impression."

That's how little MS care about the indies.

I just gave this one a go last night(had to hook up my system, lol). Well worth the effort. I am going to grab my left over points card later today and unlock the full game. Thanks for the recomandations Manu. Very nice game, reminds me of some of old favs.

OG dont worry, glad you like it, altough i knew you will like it, now the most striking thing about this game, is not how beautifull the graphics and animations are, or the great gameplay in platform or fights, above all that, is this game was done by just one man, is mindblowing.
p.s now i hope you will get the new pinball tables, this week releases the plant vs zombie table ;)Posted 8 months ago # -
Don't care how good the Game is. It's for God damn furries.
Posted 8 months ago # -
Yeah, I need to put some thought into what tables are on which platform and where I wanna grab them. I was reading that the Pinball game is playable on Vita. I don't own a Vita, but the idea of Pinball FX on it, is very appealing. I need to look into that, figure out what I wanna do and then go from there. I imagine this winter, i will prolly sit down with some consoles more. Right now Diablo III, L4D, Guild Wars 2, and Civ V have been eating my game time. And Torchlight II comes out later this month lol.
Lots of flashy goodness to play.
YoungZ:
"It's for God damn furries."
What does that mean? Not trolling, just wondering.

OG iam still playing 2011 tittles that i did pass, and now have a great price on consoles like Lord Of the Rings War in the North, tropico 4, for example, by the way good games, therefore on all fronts there is a lot of goodness to play, add to that the great PSN / XBLA tittles, of course without counting this year great games like dragons dogma, darksiders 2, specs the line, max payne 3, sleeping dogs, xenoblade, etc man i dont have time to play them all

I have to sit down with Dragons Dogma as well. It is on my list.

Really? Thnx for getting back to me on it tho. But if your going to avoid games based on stuff like that, doesn't that cause you to miss out on some really good games?
Posted 8 months ago # -
Naw. I think it's fair to say that the Visual style is pretty specific. Sonic for example still works. Did you never not-play a game because you disliked the art direction?
Posted 8 months ago # -
@YZ Or you could stop looking at it as "a game with furries" and just look at it as a good game? I barely even acknowledged the "furry" aspect of the game, and I have absolutely no interest in furries to begin with.

I know what your saying YoungZ, I have a problem with some Jrpgs. Esp when voice acting comes into play.
Posted 8 months ago # -
@michael: Nope, can't look past that.
@OG: Yup, those too. Can't stand the story and the art-direction of most jrpgs. Same old, same old. I also understand your share your problem with voiceacting in jrpgs.
Posted 8 months ago # -
@YZ Your loss then.
Posted 8 months ago # -
@Michael: I know, don't care. :/ For me art-direction is just as important as the games story or gameplay.
