...you know, that FPS from Raven Software that was sent out to die by Activision.
Is it any good? Worth playing etc.?

Well I played through it a bit, it's not a disaster, it's fair to say it's OK, I'd say it worth a playthrough. And there are jump off the socks moments.
Yeah its alright,i recently picked it up for cheap and played a bit of it,got a disc read error though so i guess i will get around to cleaning it and hopefully it will work again, but i only just started Mass Effect 3 so no idea when that will be.
Picture Bioshock if it had been done in 1998 by a developer that was maybe 50% as capable as Irrational Games.
That's pretty much what I came away with. It could've been amazing if it had been done with a bit of care.
They get balls points for all the dead children though.
Dead children? Consider me in.
what everyone else said already.
it certainly isn“t a must play game. you play it and you forget it, but overall it was quite fun...
My Favorite FPS game this gen. I love it as much as BioShock even more. Finished it 4 times... Still planning to do more walkthroughs....
Gheritt - I loved it, and I thought it was completely underrated and not supported to its full potential by Activision. I played through it twice, actually. Highly recommended it.
As Steph mentioned, very underrated game, the weapons and the time manipulating device are very fun to use.Sometime after it was released I really hoped that there's going to be a sequel but judging by the current state of the Raven Software it aint gonna happen :( .
Thanks Steph, I'll order a copy based on your recommendation.
Just an advice, don't play this as an action shooter, look for documents and hints here and there. There is a lot going on and I haven't got to see /explore everything at the first walkthrough.
I hope Activision spares Raven from doing endless DLC for CoDs and give em the green light for Singualrity 2. There is enough demand on the game's official page to show interest.
Gheritt - I completely agree with Stephany... The game really is awesome, and it's sad Activision let it die so fast. The single player experience is a lot of fun, and the story is relativity good IMO, the multiplayer is hands down the most fun I have had with a console multiplayer experience in a LONG time. Unfortunately you probably won't find anyone playing it anymore.
I enjoyed Singularity, very under-marketed title. It's a shame on Raven. It's one of those games that actually gets really good as it goes along, and it has a neat ending too. Pity few saw it.
Just to say that Singularity is not a one off when it comes to Raven making something quite good and then having Acti do nothing with it.
Both the Wolverine tie-in game and Wolfenstein were great. Wolverine was better than the film is was based around, more true to the character and a hell of alot of fun.
Singularity itself should have had a few more months just to polish it up, theres a load of missing textures all the way through the game, its the same kind of blurry mess that Rage was in places. Still the gunplay is great and there are a few specific moments where the atmosphere is even thicker than Bioshock and more akin to Stalker.
Its got cod accents and dodgy acting all the way through and the over-arching story is pure pulp. I like it.
