   Hello all, Dave here, UK News Editor at VG247. I want to say hello to all of the forum users again before I start at the site officially on July 30th.

   This week I've been working with Pat and Sam to prep for Gamescom and to get some really ace articles started for you guys to read.

   So far I've managed to get some ace stuff on the go, and one thing I've always been keen on is big interviews with prolific developers and industry people.

   So my question to you is, who would you like me to try and get interviews with? Who do you want to hear from, or what games/projects do you want to know about?

   Let me know and we can chat about the stuff you like and we can try and make it happen :)

   CD Projekt Red(The Witcher series)try to get as much info about their new projects as possible(Cyberpunk,The Witcher 3.....)...that is,if you would be so kind to do so :) .

   @LuLshuck - Nice, I actually have a Far Cry 3 interview in the works, so I'll have more updates on that very soon. As for Cliffy B, watch this space!

   Oh okay! In that case I'd have to say Gabe Newell. He seems to be the only industry insider that actually has a vision, and he's one of very few who are still running a profitable business.

   Then again, I think he's probably also one of the toughest to flag down.

   Maybe grab Sid Meier and throw him the words "What the fuck are you doing to Civilization?".

   Really I think a lot of publishers have a lot to answer for these days.

   With THQ it's DLC-abuse. What's the big idea with throwing 40 euros worth of trashy micro-DLC at a 60 euro title? It's just bonkers, why would that ever work?

   With Ubisoft it's their continueing lack of understanding of the PC market, of which they have lost 60% of their marketshare since the introduction of Ubisoft Online Services Platform. Don't they want to make the kind of money that EA and Activision are making by not going that way?

   But then I'm guessing they'd rather stand there and say whatever their PRs told them to say. Just ignore me :P

    I'd like to see an interview with Matt Soell and Alexander Seropian - two of gaming's greatest yet least recognised minds. Matt invented community management and Alex gave birth to Bungie. I expect they're schedules aren't overwhelmingly busy, so it'd be possible.

    I'd like to see an interview with Dan Maher on the inside workings of MS' Xbox division.

    And I'd like to see an interview with Pat on his journey from the late nineties to the present day.

    EDIT: I'll draw up the questions, if you like.

    Oh, I;d quite like to see an interview with the guys that founded Kickstarter.

    And Jordan Weissman too, especially as there's been very little on ShdaowRun Returns.

    Shadowrun Returns will be an easy one to get Gheritt, I'll chuck them an email soon :)

    The others are doable too.

    G1GAHURTZ, Trip is always a good interview. Post-Gamescom this should be OK.

    I am behind what DSB said.

    If I had to add my own, I'd love to hear from EA. Not that they need more publicity so much, but because I am interested what if any impact the courts ruling against them in NFL/NCAA means to their sports games? What their long term PC plans are. Do they envision Origins competing against XBNXT/PS4? Do they feel their is a shift taking place by gamers away from traditional consoles? Thier feelings on this gen console lifecycle? What would they like to see on a next gen platform(tech/services wise)? Will they ever stop trying to make a CoD killer, lol?(or maybe word it more like: what do you feel Battlefield 4 will bring to the table that CoD can't)? Ask them why it is important to them to have their own store front space on PC(origins) rather then just get in line and back Steam? What went wrong with the new SW MMO? Why has the MMo space been so tough for them to crack?

    TBH, I'd like to know about EA a bit. They are still a powerhouse publisher, but they are going thru a rough spot (as are a lot of devs/pubs). Just kind of wonder what they thinking.

    I really like the interviews angle, and am very much looking forward to seing what you can come up with, EA or otherwise.

    Can you tell me is Bethesda attending Gamescom,or should I say will any of you guys be attending Quakecon that starts in couple of days,cause I would REALLY like to know what is going on with Prey 2(I hope I'm not asking for too much)?

    I'm pretty sure Prey 2 has been canned. Bethesda said as much a while back - I think, correct me if I'm wrong though :) - although some sources were cagey on it being an outright cancellation.

    Personally I think it's dead, which is a shame as it looked interesting behind closed doors at Gamescom last year. It had potential. Open-world Mirror's Edge meets the freedom on Dishonored and the cyberpunk vibe of Bladerunner. Could have been great.

    Back in April Bethesda claimed that it was not cancelled but delayed beyond 2012 because it did not match it's "quality standards" http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/19/prey-2-delayed-beyond-2012-has-not-been-cancelled/ . I hope it's not dead cause it looked REALLY promising and I personally don't know why wouldn't Bethesda just say so,I mean what would they gain by saying that "it's not canceled but delayed".
