Sorry guys, but there is already a new fix for the banning... Wow, that was a whole week.

Hmmm that was fast..too fast actually

Are we talking about the new rip checker here? I wouldn't call that a fix as such, more a potential preventative measure.
Or is this some sort of new firmware?
Edit - Ahh, it's another supposedly non detectable firmware. I figure you guys would have learnt not to take c4eva at his word by now. :P

no, it's an actual un-ban

Psycho, for being against mods, i'm surprised you know who c4eva is :)
** btw, why does logging into forums log you out of news site? and vice versa.

For the longest time I worked in IT security. System hardening, white hat hacking etc... I find this stuff interesting. Funnily enough, hacking (attempted) is the reason for the login problems here at the mo.
I just read the site... you'd steal that info from a valid 360 (which will end up getting that 360 GUID banned too), I'm not sure how useful it is as a method.

steal, no.. borrow yes :) and I would borrow it from one of my other non-banned box's.

Yeah, but as soon as you take it online it's going to get marked for death. So within a few weeks you're going to have two banned 360s instead of one.

btw, this was not the workaround I was referring to. I was talking about a new firmware update. It's for Lite-on only right now.. I have LG... so I wait.

The LT firmware hasn't actually been released yet though has it? It's still in development with "a light at the end of the tunnel".

LOL.. Well, my buddy that's pretty well scene-connected is testing the "beta" this weekend. So i'll let you know how that goes.
He was told it works.

Tis a constant arms race for sure. Everyone seemed to think the old ones worked until a couple of weeks ago... even though they'd been flagging machines for months. Hell, even the developer was saying it was undetectable and everyone that had been caught had done something wrong. ;)
The cycle will continue for some time to come I reckon.
