i once had one - a 250cc. loved it, but had to sold it a while ago because i had no more space and moved and just couldn´t take it with me. had several italian bikes- guzzi v7 700 as well. and others. and some old vespas from the 50´s and 60´s VBB´s mostly and a lambretta too. bought those scooters and builded em up again with a friend. he was the real techy guy, me just the support - but it was fun...i am kind of broke though atm. gaming is damn expensive too. i just have too many hobbies. i play drums, have a dog +++. no kids yet but this is only a matter of time really;-)
it´s summer. i didn´t ride a motorbike for 5 years or so now and man i crave one.
someone made me a great offer for a red scrambler today.this shit fucks up my mind now...don´t know why i am posting it here...someone else into old singles?

Hey i also played drums in my teenage years till my mid 20´s, now from time to time i play drums on rock band 8D, my wife and kids dont let me play real drums on the house T_T, i know is not the same but at least i can keep my technique, in order to not let it rotten; however i never rode a bike, so in that regard i dont have anything to say, tough at some point in time, i will try it at least once, just to know the feeling of riding a bike.

Never owned a proper bike, but it's something I am looking to get into over the next few years. They're cheap to run and fun to drive! - if they weren't as dangerous as they are I would have one already.
Gaming can be expensive, but not as expensive as maintaining a 20 year old classic! -- http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/6783/smr7.jpg

@ deacon: nice ride! keep the classics on the streets...cool. i always love to see nice old- and youngtimers on the road.
@manu: i got a roland hd1 e-drumset for playing drums at home. it is awesome. not many different kits on it and compared to other e-drum kits maybe a bit overpriced for what it has featurewise, but the footpedals are specially built to avoid loud sound - it´s whisperquiet. with good headphones it sounds awsome too and is really fun to play even if it looks strange on pictures. check out some vids of it on youtube or check it out in a store if ya like. i personally love it.

i said no sir. damn. it really really was a great offer. i could´ve easily resell it for this price or prolly even more after a few years if i would´ve wanted. but still have no time and space (and cash...sigh) to really care for an oldy like this. it´s sad. i still got my 1991 rover mini cooper and my brompton foldable bike. i´ll get around.
@manu: for playing at home it really is nice, you can easily plug in an mp3 player or connect it to your stereo and play along to maiden...

dang indeed. that´s a desmo duc, like most ducatis, more sporty and with a desmodromic valve system. the model he had was a scrambler which didn´t have the desmo. 250, 350 and 450 have been made of those as well.
this one looks a lot like the modell i was offered. was a 1968 scrambler, a bit modified, but mostly original. looked a lot like this:

this is how they look originally
