Yessir, I'm in there. You can add me from the VG247 group if you like.
Already handed off my extra key though. Sorry guys.

Can't believe I'm winning at CS!
Gotta say it feels a lot like 1.6, although I have some minor issues with it. I failed to see the point on having servers with BOTs! IMO it should not be allowed under any circumstances. what's the point in it anyway you play online to play with other people not BOTs. And what happened to silencers? I loved M4 and USP because of their accuracy and silencers now they're gone, USP completely and M4 is there without silencer. And I also don't like it that I can't choose to play with my desired models. I was always playing as SAS or Seals, does not like the automatic player model selection. And another issue I have is with key bindings only one key for each input.
@DSB well many years of not playing CS at core level has put me in an awkward position, I'm not as good as I was with scout need to find someone to play me in aim_scout map for a few hours until I get my mojo back.
Man, I envy you guys. I didn't get a key, not even now when almost everyone plays it (kinda like DoTA 2). Well, I guess I'll keep on waiting *sniff*.
"I needs that mister. I needs it."
@Gwyn I'm 100% sure that I'm only cleaning house because it's the beta. I'm sure there are as many tourists as there are sharks, and every once in a while, I do get whacked around like there's no tomorrow - which reminds me of playing CS in the old days :p - but that's also why I kinda stopped playing.
I like the fact that it's so simple, but at the same time I wonder what would happen if they added more bells and whistles in terms of attachments and all that sort of thing. The source engine obviously supports a lot of customization, just look at TF2.
I definitely get the urge to play a bit of Modern Warfare here and there, just for the added chaos. CS is sport, Modern Warfare is a waterballoon match.
My wishlist for CS:GO goes like this:
1) Automatic team balancing
2) Leaderboards-based matchmaking
3) Better matchmaking (lag is a real problem at the moment)
Yeah but there are a lot of games with loads of guns and attachments and perks, etc out there, on competition level there's a need for an all out balanced game with working mechanics like CS and CS always was that game for professional and hardcore FPS fans (Team Based ofc). So I think CS is where it needs to be. But it's entirely possible for them to add some layers of customization.
All the three things you mentioned are reasonable things to have, it has a matchmacking system so why not improve upon it. Also on server browser they need to add filters for not listing BOT enabled servers and some options for hardcore and casual listings. Sometimes I mean busieness other times I might feel less tense to play on a casual server and pawn n00bs left and right and feel good about it :D.
sadismek: i still have the beta gift, but i cant send it before 23 june.
if ur still interested then i can give it to you.
I love it but miss the feel of CS:S, CS:GO feels like L4D2 so much.
Thats not a bad thing, but I just don't like the recoil on the weapons, guess I will get used to it.
I hate the new buying menu, defiantly designed for a controller in mind.
AWP is still one shot kill no matter where you hit.
Good thing is it will run on any PC setup, heck I reckon I could run it ok on a macbook air, but on a 460gtx with a C2D I'm getting about 120fps on dust 2.
It's weird I wanna play it again, which is a good thing, haven't been hooked on a mp shooter since MW2, Bf3 draw me for a while but got bored after 3 months.
I think it's obvious that it's being made specifically to bring the game to consoles. There's no reason why people on the PC couldn't just play the original or Source, and they do already, so that's obviously the case, but I don't feel like it's being dumbed down at all.
If anything I have a hard time seeing how it would work on consoles, because the split second reactions, and just the sheer tension of playing it on the PC is going to be impossible to reproduce.
Can't say I'm bothered by the menu. Sure, radial menu, but you're using the number keys anyway, so it's really just visually different.
I can't say I mind. We're getting a refurbished version of the game, and in return Valve will get some console money. Win/win.
@Lounds I'm actually glad that it's nothing like CSS and leans more toward 1.6. Also DSB has brought up a great point there and I think the previous time that they brought the original CS on xbox (1st gen) it didn't work out either. All in all I really don't care about consoles, I'm a happy PC Gamer and I prefer to play shooters with a mouse and a keyboard mainly because I'm deadly when armed with a keyboard.
@DSB honestly the radial menu is confusing and takes up the whole screen compered to 1.6, I think if we rant enough on the forums they might make an exception on PC after all it's not a huge thing to change at the same time it's not a game breaking issue either.
@Gwyn Oh definitely. That's a good idea.
They've done three updates just this month, so I think it's safe to say that they're listening.
I just don't really mind it. It's not brilliant or super functional, but I'm still ready when it's time to go go go :P
Dang. I'm so pumped for this. Any idea of when they're thinking of getting this out? At least to a wider player base? I'd be willing to trade my last DotA 2 invite for a CS: GO invite.
