   Okay, so I;m going to give it a week or so before jumping into Diablo 3. I *still* need to finish off 100%ing Mass Effect 3 and I figure by then, Blizzard should have ironed out some of the server issues.

   The two Diablo 3 classes that interest me the most are the Monk and the Wizard. The Monk, however, looks to be quite fiddly and the Wizard looks a bit underpowered from some of the videos.

   Does anyone have any experiences with these character types they'd care to share?

   Btw, plz don't say, "just be a Barbarian/Witch Doctor/Demon Hunter!" - I'm just not interested in *being* one of those classes.

   Hi, I'm a level 29 Monk and I'm loving it.

   I wouldn't really call it fiddly, not all the abilities anyway. You can make a monk build to be very AOE focused and SHIFT+LClicking will sort out a lot of the mob if you are near it.

   And believe me it's pretty easy to get near the mobs with some of the abilities you have that allow you to teleport to the mobs location. Do that, then go wild with the AOE, if you're geared right you will breeze through most of normal,

   Hmmm.... Monk does sound tempting then. I prefer to play close-combat on my first run-through and then ranged on my second.

   If you like close combat and you don't want to play a Barbarian, then the monk is a great option. It practically has zero ranged skills and I almost never find myself anywhere but stuck in the middle of a group of mobs bringing the pain.

   I've found it to be a really durable class too, if you are having trouble, there are a lot of skills that will increase your dodge or armour to really increase your survivability.

   monk is the only option then, considering barb and monk are the only two real melee classes. Personally, having all 5 of them close to level 20, I like monk the least, and wiz the most. Monks lack the impact in melee that Barbs get, and so far some of their skills are just.. meh.

   Having said that, female demon hunter = best legs in the game.
