Do you have any suggestions? I've just spent about £20-30 on a bunch of games, including Kingdom Rush and Tower Defense, and I feel like getting some more.

I watched a YouTube vid on Plants vs. Zombies, and it just looked a bit weird.
I like Tower Defense games and stuff like flight control.
I already have all the Angry Birds games, too.

Tiny Tower is a free to download game, but it's so accessible to play that you never have to pay anything for it. Super addictive, and one of my favourite mobile games ever.
There's a "Tower Offense" game on the Store called Anomaly: Warzone Earth. You play the attacking units instead of the towers. Really good game, with some gorgeous graphics to boot.
Infinity Blade is a no-brainer. The original only costs about $1.99 or there abouts if you want to try it out before getting tucked into the sequel, which is undeniably better.
Beat Hazard Ultra is great if you have music on your device and aren't prone to seizures or photosensitive epilepsy. =P Jetpack Joyride is an awesome "runner" game with lots of replayability, and Where's My Water is a very solid puzzle title with a tonne of content.
I'd mention some RPGs but I don't know if you're a fan.

Is PvsV been optimised for the iPad? I did have it for my old iPhone but when I went to download it to the new iPad I get it in the crappy reduced size version, it might just be I need to buy a HD version but that would suck.
I really liked the Infinity Blade games only having played them for the first time in the last couple of months. I have to second Tiny Tower, although I don't play it as much it is addictive in a good way.
Mike, would you mind mentioning some of the RPGs? I would like to find a good one that's not Dungeon Hunter... Thanks.

Yeah, there's a separate HD version of Plants vs. Zombies. Whether you want to buy it all over again is entirely up to you and whether you can justify your enjoyment of the game enough to play through it again.
Regarding RPGs, there's one little gem I found recently called Mage Gauntlet. Everything about the game oozes quality, and it has a great old school retro look to it.
Zenonia and Inotia are great RPGS. The later titles in f those franchise are "freemium" games, but they're perfectly playable without having to invest money into them.
Caligo Chaser is a great paid RPG, but it's not optimized for the iPad. Still great regardless.
On the MMO front, Pocket Legends and Star Legends are great freemium MMORPGs with tonnes of content, and Order and Chaos Online (not free) is essentially World of Warcraft for iDevices. The entry price is fair and the subscription fee to keep playing is minimal.
Also second what lulz said, all of Kairosoft's stuff is great, though I don't think any of their stuff has been optimized for the iPad.
Chaos Rings 2 is the best JRPG in store, albeit a little pricey.
Darius Burst SP, if you're into Shmups.
Anomalie Warzone Earth HD is great, as already mentioned.
Real Racing HD, if you are more into "realistic" racers or Asphalt 6 for the best action racer.
Sword&Sworcery is a must have but short RPG with absolute phenomenal pixelart and deep soundtrack.
Sky Gamblers is the best looking actionflightsimulator and kind of Ace Combat.
Infinty Blade 2 is the way to go, if you want to see the best graphics on your new iPad ;-)
That will keep you busy for 10minutes ;-)
