Right now, I have a $20 card that's burning a hole in my pocket. What game(s) should I get with it? I was thinking Crysis because I quite enjoyed it on PC, and it would be a lot more fun with a controller. Then again, I already played it, and maybe there's another fun game out there with my name on it. Maybe Dead Rising 2 Off the Record? I've never played a dead rising game really, and that one has a sandbox mode so it sounds fun to me. Help me out guys :)
Help me decide what to get on PSN...

i am back playing wipeout fury/hd again atm. Great game really!
Super stardust is still cool.
Fat princess is kinda fun and on sale now. i only played the demo though.
Journey is short but amazing. A must play imho.I am not a huge dead rising fan...
Another good deal is darksiders. Was discounted to 8 euro but is back to 14 now i think. Still cheap.
I dont really know which other non arcade/psn "full" games are available for a fair price unfortunateley
I would pick wipeout and journey for sure...

Well I got wipeout as part of Playstation Plus way back when it started, and I found it pretty fun but really hard. Super stardust I have, same with Darksiders. I might have to look in to Journey though...

I am thinking about getting crysis as well - but same here - already played it - on the other hand there is starhawk and max payne just around the corner...
yea journey. it really sucked me in. loved it. but you will finish it in just one short session probably. i play it a second time now though and really even see myself playing it a third time after some months have passed. it is magical. well deserved hype imho.Posted 1 year ago # -
My favourite PSN-games are Motorstorm RC, Scatter, Fl0wer, Pixeljunk Shooter 1 + 2, Soldner-X², Super Stardust HD, Journey, Marvel Pinball, Space Invaders Infinite Gene and Cuboid. Oh and the Sam & Max series and Monkey Island series are great too if you're into adventures.

maybe old news but i heard of it just today: wipeout HD/ Fury is on it´s way to vita as a DLC pack for 2048! it will be free for everyone who already owns the ps3 version....this is awesome news since i totally prefer HD/ Fury over 2048. i just started to replay it on the ps3 recently but wont continue it now. wanna play this on the vita.
here´s just one link to back it up:Posted 1 year ago # -
Journey.
You don't need anything else.
EDIT: That's a lie. You need Flow and Flower. Then Journey. After those, nothing else
Posted 1 year ago # -
Hm yea I could pick up both Flow and Flower with a single card. They sound intriguing and everyone who's played them all sound like they've had a life-altering experience, especially Journey. You don't get that often in games. The only thing standing between me and buying them is that people also say they are quite short games, but very sweet ones.

Flow is boring and basic, but Flower is well worth it.

i was hesitating because of that too. then i bought and played it and thought i must´ve been crazy to even think twice about a purchase. it is short but imho at least journey is still more than worth it though. i finished my journey after roughly 90 minutes i think, but i had a companion that really kinda guided me through the game. it was just great. i am playing it a second time atm with a slower pace. i hate hyping stuff but with journey i think it is videogameculture every gamer should at least check out. it shows that this medium can be so much more. i would pick up journey first and then think about getting flow or flower. why not getting journey and crysis. then you´ll have some open world alienface shooting nanosuitjumping and a unique and magical journey to a mountain with a stranger companion. all you want from games or not?

i just bought sly cooper 3 for 4,99 euro from psn. it´s on sale...had a quick look at it before i went off to work today...hd remake. looks great. for that price it´s a no brainer imo. 11GB though!

I am out of room on my PS3s HDD. I have the old model ones(fully BC mind you). But small HDD. I need to upgrade or just put in a bigger HDD. If I do either, does anyone know if I will still be able to redownload the PSN+ games that I have been getting for free?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yeah - though I would suggest just backing up the system to a USB HDD and then restoring after putting the new drive in - that's what I did. The trickiest bit was formatting the USB HDD in a way which the PS3 was happy with on a Mac :).

i don´t have psn+ but i think you can just re-download everything easily by just going to the store and then to the ´downloads´ icon right upper corner, next to the shopping cart...at least in the european store it´s there. i was easily able to redownload all the stuff i bought on a different system ages ago, should be the same with the psn+ offers. you could check out before if they appear there. it´s been a pain in the ass though. this is something sony really needs to fix next gen: downloading, then installing without being able to do it in the background. stinks. i have a 120 gb modell. i hope it will be enough for the rest of this gen. i got a lot of demos on it though, maybe i should just clean the house if needed.

@OG Anything you've "purchased" have can be downloaded again for free, yes.

I would of said Warhawk but the community is dying and Starhawk is out so the majority will go over to that, as for what else I would say from experience:
Journey
Riff: Everyday Shooter (brilliant imo)no trophies tho
Siren Blood Curse (a real creepy atmosphere and a solid game overall)
Wipeout HDPosted 1 year ago # -
So I ended up getting Crysis, but after all of the feedback about Journey and the rest of Thatgamecompany's catalog, I think I'm gonna go out and get another card and grab some of these :) On a side note, Crysis looks beautiful on PS3, updated in Cryengine 3 and the controls are more in line with Crysis 2. Add trophies, and I'm having a great time, highly recommend it.
@daytripper, I have Warhawk but never really got into it. The flight combat was pretty cool but my time with that game wasn't that long. I got in on the starhawk beta though, and it felt a lot more like something I'd play regularly.
Even though I used up my card, keep the suggestions coming in for future reference. I want to hear about everyone's favourite experiences from the playstation store :)

i really consider buying crysis 2 as well...on the 360 though, because i have 4000 ms points on that thing. oh wait. just as i am writing this now i remeber something that annoyed me before on xbl, but never really gave a second thought about...maybe someone knows and can help:
while map packs, xbla games, movie rental, purchase etc. all works with ms points, i found out that all ´games on demand´ games aren´t offered in ms points but in real cash...example. crysis 2 says: purchase: 19,99 Euro -
FEZ says: purchase: 800 ms points (or whatever that costs).
it would totally suck if i couldn´t use my ms points on games on demand but it looks like it!!! anyone knows?@daytripper: i´d totally sign that list. Siren seems to be really good indeed! i only played the demo ages ago because the game is not available in the european store as far as i know and i don´t have credit card infos on my "fake" us account. was really impressed with the demo.
@EVERYONE: yea get starhawk. i´ll pick up my copy today and cannot wait. will need a nice team for that.

Personally if we're talking 'what can I get for my money', I'd pony up the extra ££/$$ and get yourself a years PS+ subscription. Pay it and then forget that you paid it. Sit back and watch the free stuff roll in. Admittedly not all of it will give you a gaming boner, but pound for pound it's a great deal.
Posted 1 year ago # -
@polygem Yes, there's an option on the buy page to convert the price to Microsoft Points, so that isn't an issue.
Posted 1 year ago # -
@Deacon, aw yea I know that feel. I've had a subscription since the beginning when they gave out a bonus 3 months with a year, and have never looked back. They finally got a decent schedule down for release of new content, and the updates this year have included full PS3 games, plus a $15 one off the store, PLUS one or more PS1 games, PLUS minis, PLUS whatever sales and other bonuses. It's probably the greatest $50 I spend a year, the amount of games I have and can play on my hard drive has multiplied exponentially, it's amazing. 10/10 for PS+ from me.
