Just wondered who else out there was having similar feelings?

I bought a PS Vita on launch, with: Uncharted, Ridge Racer & Little Deviants along with a few PSP titles.

I really love the machine, the screen is awesome and it's quite a power house but there just isn't anything im remotly interested in coming out for it!

I was looking forward to Bioshock but now thats being pushed back to 2013, i'll prob just wait and pick one up cheaper then.

Sony are really going to get pummled by the 3DS if they can't sort this out sharpish. Call of Duty needs to come out in November along with a Monster Hunter in Japan for things to start picking up.

Unfortunatly, i hate both these franchises so im firmly sticking to my Ipad 2 and my girlfriends 3DS for the time being.

Who else is considering getting rid of there PS Vita before the ineVITAble price drop?!

Sony need to stop worrying about pirates and get remote play / ps2 games working on this system!

That makes no since to sell it and rebuy it at a later date. In fact it's counter productive. You would rather spend more money overall then to just let it collect dust until you find more appealing things to play?

Nothing about that reads as an intelligent decision

@lex if it means selling a vita which doesn't occupy him and buying something that will occupy him then it is a wise decision to sell the vita

personally im not gunna buy one until someone finds away to play chipped games.

Well you can sell it but not the games, wait for a price point like you said, iam still waiting for the price cut on the vita and the memory cards as well, heck if they cut the vita price but not the memory cards as well, then i think i will pass on the vita, and keep playing with the PSP and 3DS, and to tell you the truth theres nothing that interests me on the vita, only gravity rush, the rest are games that i have on the ps3/360, i think they need to have vita exclusives that only are found on vita only, and ones that fully exploits all the vita especial techs.

So why did you buy one in the first place? The launch line up was huge and covered quite a range of titles. If all you saw in that was the few titles you got and nothing in the future then it's kind of a predictable place you are in.

I'm kind of the opposite. I got one with Everybodies Golf, Unit 13, Wipeout, MotorStormRC, Escape Plan and Rayman + FFT PSP. It's become my machine of choice. The sort games I want to play on a handheld and nice ways to play them (daily challenges etc). Suits my needs too where I have limited times I can play a TV console with kids and a wife needing some TV time too.

I'd say it might be worth waiting for E3 to see what is announced then - but you run the risk of one of those announcements being a price cut. What sort of titles are you looking for?

I personally wouldn't sell. It's still early in the day for Vita and I'll be surprised if it doesn't provide more than a handful of really great games over the next year or two. Functionality in general should increase over time too.

I wouldn't sell simply because I don't like losing money. Though, if you're unlikely to ever use it again, get rid of it sooner rather than later!

I'll give you £50 for her. Don't say no. Just say yes.

I think about the same thing.

I'm keeping my Vita until E3 2012, but i can forget about Bioshock Vita this year for sure, after Ken comment.

If there won't be any new - GOOD games announced at E3 i'm selling my Vita and i won't buy Playstation Hardware anymore.

I bought PS Vita at launch with Uncharted:GA, Rayman:O (Port), Wipeout 2048 and currently waiting for Gravity Rush.

ZERO Game announcements since then, at this point there were a lot of announcements for iPad. For example Republique (that is coming to PC Yaay!) and etc.

I'm not buying a device for PORTS and so far ports are announced for PS Vita. If someone will say that Persona 4 is awesome i will say automatically "FUCK YOU i played it on PS2 and i don't buy a system for ports".

I need new games and currently system has NO GAMES. At all. "Zero"

all i can say is: i sold and rebought a lot of consoles this gen. a lot. i decided not to do this anymore because in the end, even if you sell to a good price, you´ll lose money.

i kind of share your feelings about the vita and i just bought it a month ago. that said: i would definitley wait til e3 12. i am pretty sure sony will push the vita a lot. they probably kind of wait with the announcements and save them for their e3 show.

if you sell now you´ll probably regret it right after the sony show is over....and end up buying one again. at least this is what happened to me in the past. often...sure it´s tempting. you´d get some serious cash if you sell it and atm it probably only collects dust. still i´d say keep it until june and decide after the e3 news blowout. there are big things coming. have to. sony knows. i hope.

Got Uncharted, got Wipeout. Got bored. Seeing this piece of superb technology gathering dust didnt help either, so I sold it for a good price some weeks ago. I'll regret it for shure but not for this year, as I hardly think that a "musthave game" is underway....

@Charlie Sheen: "someone finds a way to play chipped games" - people like you suck ass big time! How old are you, ten?

For me Mortal Kombat is a musthave game. But i can definately understand you if that isn't your kind of game. There isn't a huge lineup for the console so far.

Great hardware, poor games line up. Imo.

The trouble for me and handhelds, other then my eyes crossing trying to look at a small screen, is that much of what comes out are just console franchises. They even play as close to console franchises as they can.

This is esp true with Vita.

I will buy one, at some point, if/when a game comes out I want. If and only if I can't already get said game on a console. Phantasy Star Portable sold me on the PSP.

You can say what ya like, but I think the (3)DS systems do a better job of putting out quality games that differentiate themself from what is being offered ona console. I don't own a 3DS or a Vita yet. I may pick one up this summer, not too sure what one yet. Depends on the games.

If it was me, I wouldn't sell a Vita till I saw what E3 had instore. Thats when I will decide between 3Ds and Vita myself.

Vita hardware is great, but it is all about the games.

@OG, and it's sad really.

Vita is such a potential but it's really poor with games.

If Sony will announce ports for it's system, then they can say goodbye basically.

People say that iPad is not a gaming device, sure, but a lot of guys announce a lot of games for it without E3 or Gamescom.

E3 2012 for me is the last thing and if Good Games (Not PORTS of the same console games) will be announced at E3, then that's cool.

Right, back into the fray! :)

I know E3 will probably bring some good vita news, what I really get pissed off with this gen is features that are disabled at launch so a console manufacturer can bring these features slowly to the table to keep people interested.

Remote play: should be available NOW!!!! If hackers can do it to some degree, why can't Sony?! I'm sure there going to show it at E3 in a bid to take away some of Nintendos fire.

PS1 & 2 games: Why aren't these playable already?! I bet if the vita was cracked someone would have sorted this in seconds! Why can't I play castlevania SOTN on PSVita, again, this will be revealed at e3 I'm sure, but these aren't NEW features...

I get the same feeling when MS tried to halt Gears of War 3s launch in a bid to look like they had more exclusives. This is why hackers win, they crack machines open and show you what their really capable of, whereas Sony / MS et all like to drip feed consumers features in a bid to keep you interested. Stop fucking about and make some goddamn games!

Nintendo really seemed to learn a lesson from the backlash against the 3ds, bang! Suddenly a price drop and a steady flow of new games. Not perfect but a hell of a lot better than Sony's bullshit battle against piracy.

Their only drip feeding features to ensure you continually update the firmware, thus stopping people cracking the system. I hope it really backfires on them this time...

Also, I may make a small loss but it won't be terrible. I'll wait till next year, if the games are looking better by then I'll consider a repurchase.

Why anyone would consider shelling out 200 notes on one of these and a memory card over a DSlite and prob 10 classic games is beyond me.

Great hardware, zero support.

I think Sony rushed Vita to the market, instead of taking their time or planning an acceptable launch line up of entertaining titles, they released the title and rushed everything along the line with it. Yesterday I was at GAME in La Defance shopping center, they were selling Vita for a few percent off but I had no motivations to entertain the thought of buying one. I really like having a Vita, and I didn't really enjoy my PSP either.

BTW, I don't know if I wanna have a PS3 like experience on the go, I'd rather have Mega Drive, Genesis, NES, SNES, GBA, Neo-Geo like experience, something that is a reminder of those good ol' days yet offer greater entertainment value. Something that Nintendo did with DS/DSi, etc with less childish designs and more mature titles. Out of my DSi I only enjoyed some Super mario games and Flipnote Studio even though I can't draw shit.

Gwynnbleddium "BTW, I don't know if I wanna have a PS3 like experience on the go", i think this is the more important aspect sony needs to attack ASAP, besides the price point on both the vita and the memory cards, in my eyes the 3DS represents the DNA of portable games, handheld games, i mean the games really represent the handheld mentallity, short games, fun games and games that exploit the 3DS features, i think sony needs to do this with the vita as well, games that are only found on vita, and also that use the great tech this handheld has, if they can do that, they will bounce back, but if they keep with the consoles like experience mentality more than the hanheld one, i think they will have a hard time, dont get me wrong i know there are many gamers that want that, even if i dont want it that badly, i think thats good, but they need to go also the route of the handheld mentallity, they should support both strongly in order to succeed.

Sony have become damn greedy too. People slag MS off for their xboxlive pricing structure, but who thought it was a good idea to charge me AGAIN to play psp games on the VIta that I already own?!

Sony really don't understand why people pirate and want to jailbreak their devices. This old school mentality of trying to stay ahead of the pirates is going to drive a huge wedge between consumers and themselves.

I chipped my old psp to play old emulated games (nes and snes games i had bought aggeeeees back) I also bought psp games at retail.

Sony seems obsessed with stopping pirates getting into the vita, this is oly a bad move. Did the R4 cart stop the DS being one of the most successful handhelds in the world? I don't think so....

Piracy is still only a tiny chunk off what potential a hardware manufacturer can make off decently priced hardware or software. If you believe otherwise you are foolish and deserve all the shite you get spoon fed,

I.e. half finished games, dlc on the disk, hardware with drip fed features etc...

You could say, 'that's how business models work these days', I say, 'fuck you'... Greed greed and more fucking greed, that's all it is...

@Charlie you are free to do whatever you like, just think twice about it. I had cracked games back in the C64 days. That was hugely common. But I also didnt enjoy the games not as much as the ones Ai bought from my hard earned money. It was more like "consuming" or "collecting" games. Plus when I finally bought games, I had to pick my choice wisely. And thats what I kept for now. I love the thrill of anticipation, when a game which I like is announced and I can finally buy it. I spend a lot in games and yes also used ones, which btw. is no better for game developers, as we all know by now. But pirating is not my lifestyle nor my attitude for gaming. In the end of the day, I want to have a good feeling about gaming, thats why I do it. Its a distraction from my worklife.

Well i have to say, keep in mind that pirating is a must in the most parts of the third world countries, becuase the price for the games are really expensive, due to the currency conversion and the state of the economy of said countries, therefore i do understand the needs for pirating games in some instances, but of course this should be the exception and not the rule, therefore sometimes think about this too.

Honestly, Every problem you guys talk on isn't a problem for others. Ports being a bad thing? not if you never played them. Did I play Rayman Origins on ps3/360/3ds? No, so is it a port of something I already have? No it is not. Umvc3 is not a port for me either, Why? Because I never bought it before. Sure if you own or played these games before then you can scream bloody ports all day.

However, what good does it do saying "I COULD play this on a console." and you haven't. That is a statement that only show's you have options towards how you can access your games. I want disgaea 3 but did I buy it on ps3? No, and I'm sure their sales can suggest that a larger audience also haven't bought nor played the games.

A lot of everyone's statement's are to personal towards the device. An don't take into account that there are more people who haven't touched these games and device then yourself. Now the system also boast a very healthy array of original titles that I hear a lot of people claim shart then admit they haven't played them. Haven't we as experienced gamers learned reviews aren't good enough a judge to appreciate a title?

Honestly, it's just not wise to take the approach of selling a device merely because your to lazy to try other things out. I've tried a lot of games out on vita that surprised me on how much fun they were.

again. i am sure there will be extremeley ambitious games announced for the vita at E3. sony has to do this. i really don´t think they are that stupid to not know that by themselves. they are competing against the 3ds and the ipad. no way they entered this JUST for prestige...they wanna deliver and sell.

i am a resistance fan, so i can´t wait for burning skies....it´s not made by insomniac so i am sceptical but i bet it will be decent. then there is gravity rush and mortal kombat. this is enough vita for me for this summer...the fall will bring much more new games for sure.

What they need IMHO:

Final Fantasy
Monster Hunter
God of War
Killzone
Motorstorm
Call of Duty
Dark Souls game from FROM software
PS 2 classics, god hand, DMC, Ico etc...
Journey
Unique games, only on VIta etc...
Cheap game store, 5 to 10 quid for plants vs. zombies, piss off! 69p in iPhone sale kind of stuff
Cross platform play, more of this
Remote play, should already be out

What I think they will show:

Remote play, wow, new feature!
Call of Duty
Final Fantasy
More social network stuff, I don't want or need!
Ps1 support, not ps2 yet (remember, drip feeding features...)
Killzone
Bioshock video

Well see what they do... Maybe a price cut. Anyway, either way I hope it gets cracked wide open soon for some awesome homebrew...

Everyone is talking about the need for new consoles at E3, I think this E3 is highly important for Vita, a steady flow of strong games not ports are required otherwise I feel the odd droplet of an exclusive won't cut it

Funny you should say that, such an amazing game! I have it but watched my friend complete it the other day. Utterly compelling viewing! Why it wasn't cross platform with vita I don't know?!
