Nearly finished Shadows of the Damned and I have to say I am really enjoying it. It has made me look forward to Lollipop Chainsaw, especially the humour. Ok the writing is ropey in places but the skull sidekick Johnson makes up for that and there is some genuinely moments of brilliance. It seems a shame his games don't perform better at retail, they need to be marketed better for a start.

I haven't played Shadows yet, but Suda51 makes games the way an underground band makes music: It's all about attitude.
I didn't play Killer 7 but I have played both of the No More Heroes games, and they were both really interesting. The first one had too much grinding, but the second one fixed it right up.
The humor really shone through the first time I had to jerk off the Wiimote to charge the lightsaber in the tutorial of the first game. Most games would only make you do that by accident, but Suda51 gets right to the point :P
It's the kind of anarchy that I think games are really missing these days. Everybody's trying to be an artist, whether they're making funny games or military shooters. Few people dare not to give a fuck, and just let loose.

Good metaphor you came up with and it describes pretty good how I connect personally to their games. I love the path Suda51 goes and therefore I've played all titles. But if you have missed Killer7 you should know, that its a showcase in doing the opposite of mainstream. Its psychotic and mature, has awkward controls, mixes third with first person shooting and comes artdesign wise from an absolute new direction. Therefore its a gem in my GC collection. Oh, and grab a beer or two before launching that psychodelic tour.

For me shadowns of the damned is what resident evil 5 should have been, it is a great game, like you said too bad that it didnt sell that good, and thats an strange thing becuase it was released on the ps3/360 not on the wii, so the targeted audience was there, i dont know?
Having said that i have played also all his games, and i like them all, from killer 7 to no more heroes to this one, and for that i will get for sure lollipop, i know deep inside i will not regret it.

I love shadows of the damned, just about to start it up again after a break. Got about half way in, really enjoying it so far.
Bought it new, so they sold at least 10 copies then! ;) such a shame these games don't sell, I always try to buy them new.
Killer 7 was also fantastic, I bet that looks incredible on dolphin emulator. I was so gutted wii u won't upscale game cube games (or theyll remaster them and charge 40 quid for the pleasure)....
Can't wait for lollipop chainsaw! :)
