I have some steam key codes of various games (Mafia II, Scratches: Director's Cut, Alien Shooter etc).
Is it possible to add those games in my inventory so I could trade them?
P.S. Is it possible to trade games already activated? (I presume not)

The general guidelines of the steam trading forum is not to trade for anything outside of the system.
If you want to get rid of them your best bet is a private sale to a friend.

You can't trade games that have already been activated into someones game library but you can trade a game if someone has the key but hasn't activated it. If you go to activate a game now it'll ask if you want it in your library or in your inventory, if you want to trade you stick it into the inventory.

Are you sure? I already own Mafia II and have a spare key code, but when I go to Games-> Activate a Product on Steam... I don't see any option to put the game in my inventory and I get a message: ''#Steam_Receipt_AlreadyPurchased_Heaadline #Steam_Receipt_AlreadyPurchased''

Can you imagine the trade game keys stuff on xbl/psn?
Its another Steam ftw type moment.
I have been thinking very heavily about buying the Tourchlight II four - pack and giving away keys to family.

@Cyber, hmm that's strange. Last time I did a code it asked if I wanted to put it in my inventory but I didn't have the game already though :/
