   Oh... Really. Wells that pretty cool. I guess your using the fibre optics that everyone's raving about. Thats pretty nice of you to personally install fibre optics to every single person in the UK.

   WOW. What a surprise. I particularly like the fact they state I already have the highest speed I can with it barely reaching 3MB/S. Thanks for that, I see that Ad everywhere and for nothing.
   Its probably because I live in some tiny village in the middle of bloody nowhere.

   Although to be fair I'm not actually with Virgin. But I don't want to be fair.

   Do you use virgin? because its pretty fast but if my brothers on xbox and im on xbox the thing is fucking slow, while on sky it was fine fucking richard cocksucking fag

   Please god to NOT get my started on Virgin Media!!!

   They are the worst ISP ever. I have been with the well before they took over Blueyonder/Telewest and back then the service was out standing. Free upgrades after your contract was up. I remember going from 1MB/s to 4MB/s and thinking it was awesome.

   Now VM have taken over and all was well for a short time. Then they brought out the dreaded "Super Hub". Well lets just say that it aint so super at all.

   The thing has a crappy netgear router built in that does NOT "out of the box" support the PS3. Also even when hardwiring it to my PC during peak times I get nowhere near my rated 50MB/s speed. My jitter ranges from 500-1000ms and my Ping ranges from 200-800ms. Also sometimes I see packet loss of around 89%!!!!!

   After months of waiting for them to fix the issue they did and all was well again. Still I had to buy my own router for my PS3 as the speeds were ridiculous with the Hub (around 200kb-500kb sometimes not even connecting and would just drop out everytime).

   Then a few months ago the issue came back and they said that it was due to "over utilisation" in the area. Why on earth would you sign people up in an area that you know full well the servers simply can not handle!!??? MONEY thats why!!!

   Now I have to wait until August for them to fix things. They want to double everyones speed and they can not even get these speeds right. There is a VM tech guy who lives across the street from me and even HE says that their internet service is terrible.

   BYE BYE VM and here I come BT/BE broadband.

   @CPC_RedDawn. I'd read up a bit on BE before signing up dude, because they have been having massive issues for the last year or more. Almost signed up to them myself, cus they supposedly have a good rep and seem to be rated highly on all the review sites... But if you look closely you'll find the majority of the reviews from the last year are overwhelmingly negative.

   Over-subscription is a massive issue all over the UK. Basically if you want really good service you have to go to one of the smaller niche providers who charge a lot of cash for guarantee'd connection quality, everyone else you're really running a lottery whether the area you live in has a lot of customers on the network you choose to subscribe to, because most of them are more than willing to pile on the subscribers without increasing capacity and simply traffic shaping everyone down to dial-up speeds when everyone gets home at 6pm and checks Facebook simultaneously.

   I have to stomach the fact that literally 0.2 miles up the road and beyond, everyone is on BT infinity with speeds between 24mb and 40mb.

   I can't get above 5mb.

   I've emailed BT but no joy. We're just out of range of the cabinet, sigh. Oh but apparently all of my town (Newport Pagnell) is on BT Infinity! Yeah, ok. I guess the 40-odd houses in the lower left corner can gtfo or something.

   Needless to say I do feel your frustration, but I blame it more on the government than anyone. We're so far behind on net infrastructures it's pathetic, and laughable. Once the rest of the world gears up for full 100mb cloud based gaming, we'll be just about all on 10mb+.

   Reminds me how lucky I am with what I have.

   I can support four connections going at same time, no problems or slow down. Nice when you have Netflix, PSN and world of warcraft going all at once.

    Whatever you do, DONT get Virgin media through the phone line. Its utter shit for gaming. You will have the highest pings known to man, making it impossible to play.

    Their fibre network, thats a different story and oh how I miss having it.
