I'm kind of thinking about buying this game for PC next month so if anyone has played it on PS3/Xbox 360 and can provide some basic info on it like how long is the SP portion(as I 'm primarily interested in single-player),is the story interesting,are there boss fights etc., I would really appreciate it.(no spoilers of course).

The main campaign took me 12 whole hours to finish off first time around and about 8-10 the second time around (as I did slightly less exploring/taking in the scenery).
The voice-based team building stuff is great (when it works. Apparently I can't say "Kurosawa". Tried for 3 minutes) and really helps you bond with the characters.
The trust building results in different outcomes in certain key plot points and overall effect the ending. Ala Mass Effect, characters can die/turn on you or be your best chums and protect you.Graphically, it's quite pretty and very clean. the art direction is a little Deus Ex:HR in places and Arkira's Neo-Tokyo in others.
There are a fair amount of boss fights (going off memory, 5-6) which all require their own unique strategies.The plot is heavily influenced by Snatcher/Blade Runner, as you may've seen from the trailers, with several "game changer" plot twists, some predictable and some from out-of-nowhere. It's a story in it's own that doesn't need any sequels or additional DLC, which is pretty humbling in this day and age.
Haven't tried multiplayer, but I don't care for MP in most games.
NeoGaf have a good OT on the game, but there're obviously spoilers the deeper you get into it. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=464471I for one love it and consider it "2012's Great MultiPlat game no one played" (ala Shadows of the Damned or Enslaved).

@psxman Thank you very much!
The the single-player portion seems to be fairly lengthy then(considering most of the other shooters these days clock around 6-8 hours)and "the trust building" thing sounds really interesting.I'm definitely now closer to picking it up(especially since Prototype 2 for PC has been moved to July)so thanks again for the info.Posted 1 year ago #
