hi,
i´m a retard. i know it. i tried and i failed. the plan was to only play wii and 3ds for the rest of this gen due to general boredom of repeating content on the main video game consoles of this world. to make it short - i said already: i failed again and it didn´t take long. while i mainly played my games on a 360 this gen (i love the 360 pad) - i had a ps3 as well but sold it all........now i bought a ps3 again, for cheap with brandnew copies of resistance3 (ip which i always loved), killzone3 (ip which i always liked) and uncharted 3 (ip i like if can get over the enrique eglesias look of nathan drake)...i also already bought wipeout hd and super stardust the last time i had a ps3 and should be able to download those again, i also plan on getting journey now, obviously...though it´s a let down that there is no local coop. overal i think i will have some great games to play. i will also get the sony branded ps3 stereo (virtual7.1) headset and a second controller. headset, games, brandnew and sealed. ps3 slim 160gb and controllers mint condition. all that stuff for 280 euro. i just couldn´t resist - and i am quite happy about it tbh. i never liked the dualshock for shooters but now i am glad that i will be able to play sly cooper soon and i hope for more jak and daxter, ratchet and clanl and finally a MEDIEVIL!!!!
i checked on the playstation homepage. both of my old accounts are still available but all my friends are gone
;-(
would be happy if i could meet up with some of you guys on da psn.
i will use my OhMikeOdd account. send me a friend request if you like. don´t have the system yet but will prolly go pick it up sometime next week, so i will accept them as soon as i can.
i know some of your GT´s and will send you requests too when i get that thing sometime next week i hope.
thanks you older gamer and manuotaku who encouraged me to pick up a wii (and recommended to keep the 360 as well and/or get a ps3- you were right i guess).i still have the wii and love it. it makes my gaming time much more diverse. some games have been the best i played this gen. the ps3, wii and 3ds will now finally (hopefully!) carry me through this fading console gen...thx
i am so weak! OhMikeOdd: it´s a playstation (again)!

will do...picked the ps3 up this morning and will be online right after work today. cool thing is: it´s not the sony ps3 branded headset it came with, that´s what i thought...BUT: sony mdr ds 6500 headphones which are actually really great quality 7.1 headphones! as far as i checked this morning you can easyly plug in a 3.5 mm mini mic too and then use it as a headset for the ps3 as well. awesome stuff. can´t wait.

I discovered the quality of PS3 late this gen. And to be fair the system was a slow starter. At this point I play PC more then any system, but I play PS3 and Wii as well. I haven't turned on my xb360 to play a game in a month, maybe a bit longer.
I am a PSN+ member. I would recomend the service, tho some wouldn't. You don't need it to do anything. But I really like the free game give aways. It feels like a game rental service to me, where a couple two or three times a month I get a new game to play(but better then renting, i can keep the game). I really like that. We have lots of stuff from stupid pick up and play games like Simpsons Arcade to Mahjon(sp) to Final Fantasy. The discounts are nice too.
As far as game to play online, I have a couple. I also own fat Princess(one of I think the best over looked games this gen). I play DCOU. I have Mag. KoA, and a couple of others. But mostly I enjoy my PS3 as a SP offline system. I got so tired of players spaming me for BF3 games as soon as I loged on xbl. That I now enjoyed flying under the radar a bit on PS3. Its easy to do, as I only know one person(not from a website) that actualy owns a PS3.
I am very fatigued by this gen. Very. I am very tired of what MS pushes and promotes. I am tired of advertisments all over my dash. I am tired of paying for xbl gold, and getting nothing in return. I am tired of the same old worn out franchises. I am tired of obnoxious teens screaming/yelling/signing in each and every game I play. Mostly when I think of this gen I see an xbox. So for me, making a point to play Wii and PS3 helps me get away from some of that. Prolly sounds fan boyish but it isn't.
I think console wise owning a PS3 and a Wii is a sold one two punch.
I already have my preorder money set aside for the Next Nitendo system. And I am considering a Vita if the price comes down, AND PSO2 doesn't come out for a console as it is headed for Vita. I will look carefully at PS4. But I will not look at what MS does next. They are the very definition of a bizz company selling games to make share holders happy. I want to stick with a game companies that is sell games to make me, the gamer, happy.
When it gets all said and done, tho, I doubt I will stray from playing on PC too much. The games are deeper. More mature. The comunity tends to be older. And it just fits me better.
My PS3 tag is pracer. My first name is Patrick, thats the P. And I love racing games(used to race for real once upon a time), so thats the racer part. Used to be the same tag for xbl, but quickly grew tired of the kids, being unable to read, calling me praNcer. So when they allowed changes, I went with Anoldergamer.
(post attempt three, damn Captcha, I make sure I copy my posts just for this reason)(its why I use forums much less then I used to.)

Manu: great! i wont be home the whole next week (i will play kid icarus uprising on my 3ds in my hotelroom every night...great timing!) but after that i got some days off from work and plan to play A LOT on the ps3 then. i got some singleplayer stuff to do as well though ;-)
for online i have resistance3, killzone3 and uncharted3 at the moment...i love shooters but i don´t fancy to play R3 and kz3 online at the moment strangeley. i´d really like to play some uncharted 3 multiplayer though.
OG: i feel completeley the same. i really do. i will get the wiiu as well as soon as possible - if the pricing is right and if it lives up to my expectations, but it really looks like it atm. i wont count ms out completeley but i really think they became extremeley lazy in the last few years.
i kind of loved the 360...mainly, even if this might sound strange, because of the gamepad. imo they nailed it with this one. i just can´t get used to the ps3 ds3. i never liked the ds pad. i just bought a POWER A 360 pad clone for the ps3 and will check it out. if it wont work properly i will hopefully just get used to the ds3 sometime. i would like to see sony changing the gamepad design a bit for ps4 though. the placement of the thumbsticks just feels strange to me, i´d love to see them making 2 versions of the pad - all the same design but two different thumbstick layouts. so the ds fancrowd wont freak out. it wont be happening but that would be cool...i chose to re-buy a ps3 over the 360 because i felt like it is the better overall deal. i get all the multiplat games and better quality exclusives (i am a halo fan - but i am ready to say bye bye to it knowing bungie is creating something multiplat right now), also i kind of don´t want that "great" online experience anymore tbh. it´s strange but i want simplicity again. i want to relax by playing games and not compete for the most headshots anymore. i want to play online, but i don´t need all that trashtalking, statchecking stuff anymore.Posted 1 year ago # -
fat princess: i was interested in it but actually never played/ bought it the last time i had a ps3. should probably check it out now...got all the other stuff to pay through first though.

I hate the PS game pads, always have. They hurt my hand after a short while. So I am with ya on that one. xb pads have always been better, imo. The 360 pads are near perfect. But a pad alone isn't the biggest reason to play a system. Like I said I play PC with mouse and KB most, and if I need a pad on PC, I plug in a usb xb360 one.

For me the 360 pad is the second best, really close to the gamecube, for me that one was the best especially for those trigers, man i loved those ones

yes the gamecube pad was really really nice as well. was a nice console anyway. shame it didn´t sell that great. it started to become an even tougher business with that gen of consoles. but nintendo finally stayed in biz and that is a great thing. for the ps3 i am curious to try those 3rd party power a pads out for myself -i am not a huge fan of third party hardware and always buy the original stuff. but with the ps3 pad i am willing to look for alternatives. it received some mixed reviews though. some really praise it otheres say the deadzones of the sticks are a dealbreaker. i wont really mind to play on the original ds pads if i have to - no problem, but maybe those are great alternatives. i once had a XCM adapter (or something like that, can´t recall the name of that thing really) on the ps3 to use the original 360 pad, worked ok but with the lack of sixaxis obviously, so that wasn´t a perfect solution.
reask and og: sent you friends requests too.
will check out kz3´s mp too. even played kz2 mp for a while, it was fun but i wasn´t really hooked - heared they improved the mp in kz3 a lot with the classes and stuff, will definiteley chk it out as soon as i can.Posted 1 year ago # -
I much prefer kz3 mp Its just more fun.
OPS is great but only 3 maps so a bit of a bummer.Posted 1 year ago #
