Hearing a lot of people say that it's not worth £9.99 / 13 Euro / $14.99 (or whatever it may be in your particular region), and think it's all a bit silly.
If you have any kind of interest in the industry, you'd already know that (A) it's a pretty unique title, and (B) it's not particularly long.
A cinema ticket to go see some (often-shite) movie release is about £10 here. A small bag of weed will also set me back £10. A large pizza, also about £10.
None of these things (except maybe the weed) offer more than a couple of hours enjoyment, yet we are all willing to part money for them.
I've played through about 6 or 7 times now, and each time my experience changes slightly. I had possibly my best playthrough yet when I happened to stumble upon a fellow traveller with whom I just sort of clicked. Things like that don't happen in other games.
YoungZer0 you may have been 'done' with the game in an hour, even whilst exploring, but I very much doubt you found more than a few of the secret glyphs or glowing symbols - something that after several playthroughs I have still not managed. My point being replayability is there - should you choose it.
I get that some people won't pick it up for another go, but even if treated as a one-off, I still think it's well worth the money.
Listen to the soundtrack and tell me it doesn't make you want to experience it again!! (http://soundcloud.com/awintory/sets/journey)
I really hope it does well. I'm already looking forward to whatever thatgamecompany does next.
