   Ok, I know that people have been trolling Metacritic to place bad reviews, and the team at Metacritic is scrutinizing every User review, but as of this writing, March 8th, 2012 there are 43 Positive reviews, and a BIG FAT 0..ZERO Mixed or Negative reviews!!

   The fact that there are NO mixed reviews from Critics has just placed a significant light on the "Insider Industry"! Could it be that Professional Critics are not willing to go up against EA??? There should at least be some MIXED reviews!!!

   Some of the concerns that "USERS" are making, do in fact make sense. The Critics went after Dragon Age 2 for those very reasons, but seem to be...BLIND...to those same reasons on ME3, Why?

   Why are they Blind?

   I don't rely on reviews or critics for games anymore and this is the reason especially after reading a reviewer being blacklisted because he gave MW2 a less than stellar review.

   I just rely upon what my friends say and thing to figure out if it is a game for me. I am enjoying this game and its exactly what I have wanted from ME3. I am especially enjoying the new environments. The new lighting really shows the mood along with the cities feeling really lived.

   Reviews these days are little more than a personal opinion, where from a professional review I actually expect a professional opinion. The breadth and depth of the industry output is also becoming more like the music and film industry where personal taste and preference is as important as core quality. Often this personal taste or preference is the overriding factor in reviews, and this is not always made clear.

   I rely a lot more on demos, friends and pulling out the information I needs from the reviews that bother to supply it.

   Sure guys, you don't rely soly on reviews. Smart and seasoned gamers don't. But thats not the point Frosty is bringing up. Something smells very fishy.

   Whether you agree or disagree with the focus or opinion of those reviews, it's simply staggering that there's no one who thinks differently.

   Personally I'd argue that there isn't any professional opinion when it comes to a creative work. It's not science. There isn't a statement to be proven using emperical data, not to mention the fact that games aren't purely meant for "professionals" or even "hardcore gamers" for that matter.

   I certainly prefer people to know what they're talking about, but even the highest degree in games development means fuck all if you don't have an opinion that's genuine, distinct and thus worth listening to.

   I'm sure that based on those reviews, Mass Effect 3 likely has a lot of things going for it, it likely doesn't deserve to be collectively slammed and there's no big conspiracy.

   ... But holy crap. Not a single guy disagrees?

   That's a problem, no matter how you swing it.

   Well personally i dont think theres something fishy here, i think that maybe all the critics did enjoy the game afterall, maybe the scores are all to perfect, yes i grant that, but the overall overtone for this game maybe is because is a good game therefore all the good consensus all around, even some critics that didnt like at all ME2 (they were very vocally about it to said the least), now are saying that they do like ME3 and that is a better experience, they fixed a lot of things and that now somehow they do understand the changes bioware were trying to do with ME2, but didnt work quite well in ME2, but it works at some extent in ME3 and for me that fact is indicating something, even more than the scores itselfs.

   i check reviews and gameplay videos, but it´s more to get an impression of a game. i only trust one reviewer: classic game room - seriously, check it out on youtube if you haven´t already - awesome reviews from people who really care for games.

   Playing the Single-Player part(around 15 hours in)and I have to say it's nothing short of fantastic!It's like they took everything that was good in I and II and made something that is truly epic!They simplified things like planet scanning and made it less annoying,brought back weapons customization and took it to a hole new level!The story is great so far as is the overall dialogue writing.Combat and cover mechanics have been substantially improved(especially moving from cover positions and melee attacks).The only minor complaint that I have so far is that the graphics overall quality is somewhat downgraded but I can understand why as they tried (and mostly succeeded)to make a seamless transition from cut scenes to gameplay.That is all for now...it might be just my opinion about the game so far...but it's an honest one.

    I for one played about 2 maybe 3 hours of the single player in the game, and i'm already tired of it. It makes so many promises and they just aren't kept. For example it says that it is not just a shooter, but also an RPG with interactive story, which just isn't true. In a conversation where Shepard makes 10 replies you maybe decide 1-2 of them. That isn't interactive at all! As a long time D&D player i'm very disapointed with the RPG elements of this game, considering Bioware once made Baldur's gate...

    THe written dialog is far larger than ME2 and ME1 combined but the dialog choices are proportionally similiar to ME2. I rather just make the choices in convo matter and not sift through questions about what my crew members ate for breakfast. If they had done more convos for every single conversations there wouldn't be enough disks or enough money to support it (development).

    I haven't played it, so I can't say for Mass Effect 3, but usually if a game takes me through a scene and my involvement is completely redundant, that tends to piss me off.

    It's the same reason I hate most quicktime events. It's just an excuse to show you a scene, while saying "LOOK, YOU'RE STILL PLAYING THE GAME" - No I'm not, I'm watching a movie while you're pretending to include me in it.

    I remember having that problem with Mass Effect 2. I really didn't like it when Shepard wigged out and started throwing weak ass responses around that I would not ever have picked.

    Didn't Deus Ex: HR do a few conversations like that too?

    Wel to be honest I haven't read any of the reviews. It was always going to be a definite buy for me. And maybe it's because I'm a loyal fan but I have to say, so far ME3 really is a great game.

    I won't lie, there is some mega-cheese dialogue, some bugs here and there but nothing that has truly impacted the gameplay or broken the mood. The nods to all the decisions I previously made are great for me as a fan.

    And the MP... jeeze... don't get me started on the MP, really, because I tend not to stop. I have played a ton of the MP in this game - absolutely love it. Last time I checked I was number 9 on the UK leader board and top 500 global in my N7 score.

    Damn was hoping you was on Xbox viral. I agree its a real nod to the fans this game and the multiplayer is addictive, my only problem with mp is the way some people take an absolute age to get a game going.

    Review scores are nothing more than BS. Seriously. I am stunned that people still believe in what has been written. Most, if not all, of the major review sites have alot of advertising from (Insert name of publisher here) and simply wont give a game that might be crap, a low review score, otherwise the advertising will be pulled.

    EA judge everything they do on Metacritic, and I guess to help support investment from its investors. Who remembers the whole Gamespot/Eidos/Kane & Lynch affair?
