Any platform. Not that interested in the MMO's.

Republic Commando. Either 360 or PC(both should be dirt cheap)and if you would like your action multiplayer - Battlefront is always good, if a bit old now
Knights of the Old Republic
rogue leader airplane game thing on gamecube
Dark Forces 2, Jedi Academy, Republic Commando, Knights of the Old Republic (the first one). They are all available on the PC.
Republic Commando is a must, great game. I would say both KOTORs are good tbh. I remember enjoying Empire at War but that might be wrong. The Force Unleashed games are ok for some fun OTT lightsaber action.
KotoR and Battlefront. The latter is of little use though, since mp is dead.
Thanks for all the responses :D
I'll youtube them and see what I like the look of.
I really fancy buying the Rogue Squadron games for my GC/Wii...
Always wanted to try KotoR I & II but had totally forgot about them.
I'll let you's know what I end up playing.
"Can anyone recommend some good Star Wars games?"
Isn't that a bit like asking "can anyone recommend some good sexually transmitted diseases"?
They're all bad - but some are less bad than others.
Actually Republic Commando is a good solid game. And, I do believe its the first(or one of a select few) that doesnt actually start with the traditional Star Wars crawl.
Empire at War is a good solid RTS as well - the space battles look great but the ground battles are ugly(graphics) but fun. You can grab some cool Clone Wars mods to bring in the Venator class ship, V Wings and more.
Personally, I still believe Star Wars: Supremacy/Rebellion to be one of THE best RTS games of all time. By todays standards, graphics are ugly(released in 1998) but against a friend, its the only game where sabotage, espionage count. You can also create your own 'Its a trap!' moments - truely brilliant
I'm still hoping for a Republic Command sequel xD
All the good ones are really old, which makes it hard to say whether they're still good.
The most fun I ever had in a Star Wars game was Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight had a (far) superior story imo, but what the sequels did with sabre fighting and force powers made them better games to play.
As for KotOR... Dated, very dated. I didn't play that game until recently, and I have to say I was pretty fucking shocked how few lessons Bioware learned between KotOR and Mass Effect. The shockingly bad, tortuous even, inventory, menus, general UI, trading etc, all pretty much copypasta identical in higher res. So think very hard about whether you want to play Mass Effect with poorer visuals and light Sabres - because that's very much the impression I had of it.
Modern games... You can try The Force Unleashed, but neither of the games is great and the 1st one at least could be incredibly frustrating - the 2nd one I haven't finished yet but it seems less bad from a gameplay standpoint, still has issues with targeting imo, and the story where I'm up to feels very much forced and tacked on to a story which was pretty well wrapped up. They even managed to slide it fairly neatly into the Star Wars cannon, but II starts to stretch that somewhat.
Basically, despite having a gaming goldmine of an IP, Lucasarts have not done a great job of managing it, especially recently.
Lots will disagree, prolly not considered hardcore enough for them. But I rather enjoyed the Lego Star Wars games.
OG has a point actually, I loved the 1st Lego Star Wars, never actually made my way through the Original Trilogy one though.
KotoR was amazing when it was originally released and Battlefront mp was a blast.
In the late 90s there was a great SW Ep 1 racing game as well.
In my opinion I don't find KOTOR has aged *that* badly. I mean, it's not amazing in comparison but still a great story and worth playing through.
For F/TPS you've got Republic Commando & one of my personal face of all time, the Battlefronts series, essentially a quality Battlefield knock off.
For RPGs you have Knights of the old Republic, I personally disliked the combat but enjoyed the overall game.
Idk much about their RTS games, will give them a go next Steam sale.
You're pretty much out of luck on the action side of things, there's really only the force unleashed 1, the sequel isn't worth looking at & all the old action star wars games have aged horribly in my opinion.
A lot of good suggestions here, thanks :D
From what you guys & youtube have given me im kind of getting that all the GOOD star wars games are REALLY old LOLOL. So by todays standards what was good then isn't necessarily that good now :(
I think out of all of them its Republic Commando that im going to give a go.
I think though that the Rogue Squadron games are the best use of the liscense... had Rogue Squadron 3D here for years but i can't get it to run on Win7 x64 :( lucky for me i dual boot WinXP so i'll try that later.
Im off right now to grab Rogue Squadron II & III for NGC from amazon or ebay :D
@Trigger, I know I keep mentioning KOTOR but I still play that now and then. If I have nothing else new then I can get sucked into it pretty easily.
Honestly, the story in KOTOR is fantastic and stands against time. The graphics and combat may not be superb but it should not be the thing to hold you back from trying it.
@Viral: Since it comes so highly recommended i think i might just give it a go :P Oh yeh and now I actually know what the old republic is LOL
It was always on my 'to-do' list but i just never got round to it, plus at that point i had never seen any of the movies. I watched it on youtube and the combat dosen't seem that bad...
Personally, I much prefer the Old Republic era of SW. KOTOR is like playing through a better SWTOR class quest line in my opinion.
Open war between Jedi and Sith = epic to me.
KoTOR and Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast are by far and away the best Star Wars games ever made, IMHO.
Super Star Wars / Empire Strikes Back / Return of the Jedi - all on the SNES (or an emulator). I'm serious. The only SW games I've ever found to be awesome enough to complete like 5 times.
KoTR is good too, but can be a bit slow to get into so really depends if you like RPGs.
Battlefront I & II! I still play huge galactic conquest sessions from time to time. The graphics are a little outdated, but nothing beats the galactic battles, when you are entering the enemy cruisers and destroy them from within! All accentuated with the fabolous scores from John Williams. Get them, if you can!
Republic Commando is also a game that stll holds up very good till now.
Check rhem out on youtube and think for yourself. I have nearly all SW games on many systems but those are the ones I played the most and still do.
My favourite SW games are the two battlefront games, one of the Jedi Knights (I can't really remember which one exactly I played, I think it was the second one: Jedi outcast) and then Knights of the old republic. You've got to remember that back when it came out I wasn't really into gaming so the fact that I actually completed a 30 plus game (KoTOR) means there was something REALLY there. In fact it probably started my love for bioware. If your willing to stick with it KoTOR can have a truly great pay off.
I couldn't really get into Republic commando.
No Love for X-Wing, Tie Fighter and Alliance?
Easily my favourite SW games by a country mile (or parsec even!) but maybe a bit long in the tooth now.
Amazing games and memories.

@Len, without a doubt they are some of the best games SW have ever produced and I would just like to point out in an era when using a pad/joystick on a PC wasn't heresy.
But they really are a bit outdated now. Worth trying if you can get hold of them though.
Good shout indeed though.
What, no Yoda Stories?
Star Wars: Yoda Stories is good Star Wars game and i think you should play this game.
