worst decision ive ever heard, not only will there be no games for it until 2014 but there will also be a price cut at the end of this year.

What #2 said. Sure you'll have a nice warm new toy glow for a month, but after that...

@fyfe look at the 3ds, its only been out for a year and there's barely any games or good games which make it worth getting but if you really cant wait for it i would recommend seeing what games that will get announced for the vita at E3

i see your point @LOL but hasn't Sony proven though over the years that they provide better games and support than Nintendo (apart psp) but hopefully and what they have announced it sounds good and developers seem to be behind it

Look dont trade your ps3, even if you have two or three on the house, keep them all, you never know when a console dies on you i always buy two consoles just to have the replacement right away, since the economy here in my country is not stable the prices goes up all the time, even when in other countries the console price drop, here it does increase, therefore is a logic precaution, i have 3 xbox 360, 2 ps3 and 2 wii, the only one that i did bought one was the PSP, the kids dont like it that much and its just for me, i take good care of it, on the contrair i have 4 DS and 3 3DS right now.
Also keep in mind eventually it will get a price drop, i mean the Vita, because i think it will happen the same thing as with the 3DS, and with those sale numbers in japan, if those duplicate in other regions, it will happen for certain, just watch in the upcoming months the Vita performance, and then you can decide what to do best.

@fyfe when the psp came out it had the same problem as the 3ds just the 3ds is far slower for games

@lol but do you think it will be the same for the vita

@lol but im just thinking of all the games on the psn....all the psn games, psp games and the playstation 2 classics.....but your probably right

unless there are any PS3 first party titles coming out that you want to play that mostly likely won't come out on PSV such as The last of us. Then I suggest you hold onto it.
I'm lucky, my gf is in florida and she can get it me for about £165.

One extra point to consider is interaction between Vita and PS3. You might well get more out of a Vita if you also have a PS3.

i am repeating myself but here it just fits. keep the ps3 and buy a wii and if you got some cash left a 3ds as well - you can pick up a used wii almost everywhere really cheap. i got tired with this gen gaming as well. totally lost it´s charme for me a while ago. as i played my 300´s hour of (the still awesome) halo reach i asked myself wtf am i doing here? so what i did was selling everything and then i bought a 3ds and a wii. best decission ever. i am serious about it. i am playing mario galaxy 1 and 2, metroid prime 3 corruption, zelda skyward sword, kirby epic yarn, super mario bros on the wii right now and these games are insaneley great, esp. the mario galaxy´s, zelda ss and metroid. i even play mario galaxy and kirby with my girlfriend, it´s so much fun. there are many other games on my list for the rest of the year. you get them all cheap for around 10 euro or so.
on the 3ds i play zelda: Oot, phantom hourglass and spirit tracks, mario3d, mario kart3d, metroid prime hunters. havent even touched RE revelations yet. metal gear and kid icarus are in the pipeline...man, i can tell you it feels old school but so fresh at the same time. it really helped me to get over my this gen gaming hangover hands down! spirit tracks is such an awesome little game too. this game and skyward sword really made me happy. they remember me why i felt in love with gaming years ago. if you don´t want to burn too much cash just buy a first gen ds and those fantastic zelda games, super mario ds and metroid...maybe that´s even enough to mix things up a little - don´t be afraid about the lack of graphic power. spirit tracks really is a great example why nintendo can create awesome games even on superweak hardware. you´d still have your ps3 then as well...so no risk:Pthis was the last time - now i shut up and stop posting almost always the same thing over and over again....

@lolshock: about the 3ds i must disagree...there are many games for the ds/3ds already out or in the pipeline. it is insane how many good games actually, there are some great ones on the eshop as well like mutant mudds, sakura samurai and pushmo...also the obvious new mario, zelda and metroid announcements are to expect this e3. iexpect at least a zelda or metroid game at the end of this year.
