Cool. Do you know what's the best pay-as-you-go SIM to use for calls, text and data? I'm assuming it's Vodafone (it usually is in Europe), but I just wanted to see if there was anything better. This is for use on an unlocked Android phone, and I need it to do tethering.

Imho in Spain Orange is cheaper than Vodafone. I've checked and there is a plan in Orange called "Delfin" that is quite good for prepaid (4€/week Internet, 9cents/min national calls):

Vodafone has a similar plan, but the pricing for national calls goes up from 9 to 20 cents/min. I have no idea about international calls, which may be of greater interest to you.
Of course, I am only considering the major operators, otherwise the best deal by far is "Pepephone":

The problem is that I don't know if they will give you support in English. They have a plan with national calls -> 3cents/min and internet -> 9€/month.
