   don't know how many of you play gears 3 online but i need some things clearing up or advice. i have been playing since launch and mostly enjoyed it but as of late i've experienced a few problems/annoyances:

   *bit confused lately of the constant spamming of the gnasher shotgun, sometimes i go down at full health with one hit from about 10/20 yards away yet when i hit a player 3 or 4 times they still dont go down.

   *there are times when certain players seem unstoppable, of course there are some great players online but it seems a bit unfair especially when you unloaded a full round of rifle fire directly at them, they dont go down, when you watch them from deathcam they are still running around taking hits. is it a case of the more you rank up the more hits you can take?

   *could these issues be a connection problem? i do have a good internet speed and its supposed to be dedicated servers.

   anyone else experienced these problems?

   never experienced anything like this. or let´s put it this way: i also had several "NO WAY HE JUST KILLED ME FROM THERE! WITH ONE F§$%& SHOT?!" gnasher moments. but i get this cheap death feeling sometimes in almost every mp shooter...in gears i had that feeling a little more often but not to a degree of finding it strange...what you describe sounds strange indeed though. havent played gears 3 for some time now but planned to do so this we because i downloaded raams shadow and finally wanted that level 50 achievement (i´m level 47 i believe, so i´ll definiteley play some versus to rank up)...if i will experience something like it this we i´ll post it here.

   ive been having these problems since the booster ack came out, there have been alot of issus with the servers since raam was released, if you are getting lag spiked then you are in a server but if your are generally lagging all over the place then its your connection, and since the booster pack dlc came out there has been more bullshits and one annoying glitch is when you fire a direct boomshot at someone they wont die or take damage this happens alot, the shotgun one is a pain in the fucking arse and happens alot

   Yeah what your seeing are just experienced players I think. I liked to say that I haven't experienced any lag problems whatsoever from release so I don't think it is that.
   This one shot down thing does seem a bit "WTF" sometimes. The Gnashers power works on how much of the whole spread hits the player, and the distance of course and I think you'll find it's surprisingly affective at range sometimes.
   My tips are use the right weapon for the right engagement. If theres little cover and mid-long distance, the Lancer will down fast and has a large clip. When enemies get close, its generally advisable to get the shotgun out especially if there's more than one enemy. Give the retro a go aswell, it is very powerful close up.
   When you mention that they don't seem to take damage its the movement that helps them. You'll probably notice that people move erratically and stick from cover to cover, never just running straight.
   Stick close to team mates and constantly spot enemies and this will vastly improve your game.

   i did a xbox live test connection and afterwards the issues seem to have gone, strange. thanks guys
