Another year is coming to end and its been a decent one for gaming, now for me I have not got round to playing Uncharted 3, Batman, Forza 4, Skyrim and a few others yet but I think most of you have experienced some of these games or maybe you have another favourite?

Download: insanely twisted shadow planet (bastion and orcs must die came really close)
RETAIL: Skyrim - yes, on PS3. Don't bitch at me people. The first game in a long time where I suddenly realise I'm 60 hours in. This was oh so nearly Dark Souls.
DOWNLOADABLE: RocketKnight Adventures ^_^ fucking LOVED this back on the Megadrive/Genesis, so nostalgia may have warped my mind. Regardless, this is a brilliant old school platformer. And you're a possum. A POSSUM WITH A MOTHERFUCKIN' JETPACK.
RETAIL: Dark Souls on the PS3
DOWNLOADABLE: Red Dead Redemption: undead nightmare (only because its basically the only thing i've downloaded all year :P)
PS the possum with a jetpack game sounds AWESOME! :D
Luckily have managed to get most triple A titles in the Xmas run up.
Played: Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Darksouls, MW3, Battlefield 3, Gears 3, Assains Creed Revalations
My girlfriend still hasn't finished Arkham City so that's going to be my Christmas game along with maybe Skyward Sword.
Best Retail so far:
Easily Skyrim. I loved Dark souls, but for me, Skyrim has got to be one of my favourite games I've ever played. The sheer variety in the landscapes, missions and gameplay styles has grabbed me more than anything else. Honourable mentions for gears 3 and battlefield 3 for the amazing multiplayer.

Retail - Football Manager 2012 - lots of nice improvements made to this seasons game.
Download - Company of Heroes(complete) - Under a fiver on Steam - incredible value for an incredible RTS game
Worst game of 2012 - Total War: Shogun 2 - Dumbed down to the hilt,total lack of replayability, launch lacked DX11 and AA support, despite all those shiny videos. After all, this is all CA make so its unforgiveable to be so fing lazy! Last one I ever buy
Retail - Still not locked in, but likely to be Skyrim.
Download - Daytona USA.
This isn't very PC friendly.

Retail: Skyrim, just lost myself in this loved it, Gears 3 is very close, two great games for different reasons.

Retail: Dark Souls, although it could have been Skyrim had it not been so damn buggy.
Downloadable: Tough one this;I think it's a tie between From Dust and Pullblox ( Pushmo in the US ) on the 3DS, best puzzler I've played in years.

but best downloadable game is easy: Beat Hazard Ultra
I haven't bought many 2011 retail games, Battlefield 3 probably wins that.
Downloadable us a harder question to answer, Beat Hazard Ultra, Waves and Orcs Must Die are all superb.
Waves might just edge it for seat of your pants twin stick action, and I'm fucking stuck on Orcs Must Die.
