Alright, I KNOW its irrelevant and nothing to do with gaming.
I'm not sure which one to buy? My other half is saying iPhone 4, but my other half is saying Galaxy S2 :/
Could the owners of these phones convince me one over the other?

I've had a iPhone 4 since August last year, and I couldn't be happier with it. Great design, wide selection of apps, and the screen is fantastic. I haven't had any real time to play with a Galaxy S II though, so I can't recommend either one over the other.
The SGS2 has the superior hardware, biggest complaint is the low pixel density but once you see the beautiful vivid colours I think it's something you can live with.
So it goes down to the OS, iOS is better supported but has too many limitations for me personally. Now while Android may not be as well supported but it's still nothing to scoff at, it's still often gets most of iOS' larger releases & it often free (via ad support) or simply cheaper too!
Android's benefits do not just end at cheaper apps, that's just the start, there's unlimited customization potential, you can change every inch of the GUI 'til it meets your standards of perfection although that may be as simple as iOS' or WP7's interface but whatever floats your boat. Also, since it's open, you can download apps that aren't supported by Google's App store, such as emulators if that's what you're in to.
Wait for the galaxy nexus.
@GHZ, The SGS2 still remains the better choice in my opinion, it's faster, better screen (albeit lower ppi) & it'll also eventually get the ICS update.
Looks like you're right...

iPhone will always be an iPhone, in fact they have dominated in the world until now, but seeing the quality and features of Galaxy S series, specially S2 and current, they have features that iPhone can't provide.

How about the S**y Xperia Z? So much nicer to look at than any Samsung phone, and all the same gubbins inside (pretty much).
Personally I think the Samsung phones all look about as bland and generic as you can get, but that's just me.
@Deacon
You've just replied to a spambot :)
@Deacon It's also waterproof! I've lost the count of all my phones that went down the shitter after I've dropped them in a pond or... uh... gave them a bath :D
Oh, fuckery. Curse these ageing eyes of mine... I'll check dates next time - sorry all!
