   Anyone fancy some BF3 tonight? I'm thinking 9pm onwards for a couple of hours or whatever. Get 4 or more of us together (bring friends if you like), we'll get some voice comms sorted and get some organised play going.

   One of the reasons I played BC2 so much on xbox was because I had a massive community of trusted players to squad and party up with, it really enhances the game to have 4 or more people in chat working together.

   Anyone who fancies it can add me on Origin and Battlelog, freedoms_stain, if you can't do tonight but are interested in beefing up your friends list add me up anyway and we'll do this again.

   Also, join the vg247 platoon, the more of us that join the more likely there'll be people to squad with.

   Sounds good :D I'm constantly playing with American friends so it'll be nice to play with people and a server that I actually get good latency on XD

   Yoshi, I tried joining you last night, 1st time it crashed on me, 2nd time I noticed the server was >100 ping, so I decided to go elsewhere :p Although 100 ping servers weren't too bad in BC2 tbh.

   I've never used the in game voip yet, I don't mind giving it a shot, if it sucks we can always use something else.

   Team speak maybe? Ingame voip been working great for myself and friends tbh.

   All my m8s are UK based so by the time I get hom, ethey are going ot bed uausally so I'll be up for some games (am in the US) and playing the pc vs. Add LenHug if you fancy. :)

    Mehhh you didn't miss much. I was having a real shit time last night haha.

    And then my last game where I was actually doing well and the game crashed. That's when I called it a day and played some more Mount & Blade. :D

    It's cool anyway, sometimes real life gets in the way of gaming (how dare it!) If it didn't I've have played more than 5 hours of BF3 and wouldn't have to wait until what's looking like Friday before I can get another go (although I might squeeze in a few rounds late on Thursday)

    I'll probably be on a lot of Friday evening if ya'all wanna give ths another go.

    If I'm not out or anything like that I will be about. I will be about most weekday evenings this week. Trying to save some money by not going out / ordering pizza / getting subway / buying games.

    I have a feeling I might have to be sociable this weekend though. If not, brap brap BITCHES!

    Thanks Viralshag, just accepted you! Meanwhile I'm still trying to make my BF3 not to crash after 15/20 min of gameplay, tried everything I found in the forums and everywhere and still doing it, even having a pretty decent machine, it's annoying when you're having an awesome round and then everything freezes...its like: double facepalm. Any fancy smart solution? Already contacted EA off course...And thanks Yoshi too!!

    Are you guys using the Origin browser? I never do, I'm launching from Firefox and the only time I frequently have a problem is the very first game. It launches and then nothing but a pop saying it's crashed. After I click ok and try again I normally join right away and it's pretty stable for the rest of time.

    I had my very first in game crash last night where it just minimised and I couldn't do anything so I had to ctrl+alt+delete out of it and close it down. Luckily it was my last game so I wasn't that bothered anyway.

    I have to say having two monitors is an absolute dream for it. I have BF3 playing on my main one and firefox/battlelog open in the other. During rounds I don't even have to alt+tab out and clicking the browser just resizes BF3.

    I'm not sure what it is, my machine isn't even OP or anything like that. Pretty standard home build with an i5, gtx570 and 8GB.

    One of the guys we play with crashes out at the end of the match a lot. Although recently he has been having a run of like 5 or 6 games with no probs.

    Just like me Viralshag, but worst! I always use firefox too, and that initial crash has been happening since a couple days ago. It's the first time a game makes my pc to crash after playing just a little(using also a home build but using an i7 and a 460gtx plus 6gb DD3 800 and a noctua cooling system, should be enough right?) also I've been playing with MSI afterburner slowing down the clock of the GPU and making the fan work at 100% and still after all that, crashes. Anyway, will keep working on that as this is not the thread for it. Thanks :D

    Does your PC crash or just the game? I don't think I have had a game crash my entire PC for a long long time. Like Yoshi said, make sure they're up to date, they did release some new ones since the beta.

    Have you tried playing around with the settings? What are you playing on? I have everything on ultra with 2x AA I think. Graphically, everything works as it should and my gfx card seems to be handling it well enough. As in, it doesn't sound like it's struggling.

    This thread can be whatever you need it for haha. I don't think there is any "off-topic" rules here ;)

    @Yoshi I used the "old" nvidia beta drivers, then the latest ones...the thing is, this didn't happen with the Beta but it happens with the full version, it's weird eh? Thanks for adding me to the platoon then, will be playing from 7 or 8pm probably :D

    I was relatively stable when I played on Friday and on Monday, but last night was plagued with crashes freezes and blue screens. Viralshag may have noticed me popping in and out of his games with unnatural frequency.

    I might try the older beta drivers, see if it helps.

    I hope it's not just my machine showing it's age, i'm packing a 2.4ghz Core2Quad, 6GB of ddr2 ram (800mhz I think) and an nvidia 460 gtx 768mb.

    I've started wondering how long it'd take me to afford boosting up to a moderate i5 setup without giving up eating or heating or dipping into savings.

    freedoms, my machine was a pretty much fresh build. I didn't carry anything over from an older machine and in total it set me back about £600-650 I think.

    This one has run superbly. Fingers crossed it continues to perform. My first build, for somereason, had the HDD burn out and I lost everything. Luckily, nothing like that on this one.

    If I was to go with a new build I could probably get away with cpu, board, ram and psu, without actually price checking that'd probably run me in the region of £400ish without going too extravagant or too cheap.

    Well my GFX card was the most expensive part but that was right at the launch of the 570. They're a bit cheaper now and you can save about £50-60 on a 560 and from the briefiest look you only lose like 5 FPS or something.

    I installed the last set of Nvidia beta drivers and haven't had a crash, freeze or blue screen since.

    Hopefully I haven't jinxed myself there, but it seems much much smoother now.

    edit: I'm also loading into subsequent rounds faster than my friend with a superior machine, although my extra 2 gig of ram could be a factor.

    Running a 580 here, i7, etc.

    The only time I get a crash is on the first launch of the day, similar to what Viral described but if I actually tab to the game I get a standard Win7 crash dialog.

    After that happens I've yet to see an additional crash, other than the crashes I cause in-game, in a jeep. Or a tank. Or a helicopter.
